Examples of Temporary service in a sentence
Temporary Service in a Higher Classification is defined as the assignment by an appointing authority to perform service in a higher classification when there is a bona fide vacancy which management has decided to fill temporarily rather than permanently, or when an employee is on extended absence due to illness, leave of absence or other reasons, provided such assignment is approved by the Commissioner of Administrative Services.
An extended assignment constituting Temporary Service in a Higher Classification is one which is expected to last more than thirty (30) consecutive working days.
Appeal rights for employees seeking payment for Temporary Service in a Higher Class are specified in Article 28.
