A Temporary Employee may request to become a Spare Employee at the end of their temporary assignment.
LAAW Temporary Employees (as defined above) may be employed for a period not to exceed the length of the special project or the length of the period of absence or leave of absence by the regular employee for which the Temporary Employee was hired to cover, provided the period does not exceed one (1) year in duration.
The same LAAW Temporary Employee may also be assigned to cover for a second regular employee who is on a leave of absence.
