Temporary appointments definition

Temporary appointments means Faculty Members on Limited Term Contracts, Visiting Faculty, and lecturers who are not eligible for tenure.

  • Temporary appointments, as defined in Section 2.13, end on the date specified.

  • Temporary appointment means an employee hired into a position of limited duration or for completion of a specific task or project without following the rules regarding recruitment and selection. Temporary employees serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority and may be removed at any time without cause, notice or any right of appeal. Temporary employees are not eligible for benefits other than those required by state or federal law.

Any projects or assignments of limited duration in excess of that provided for herein will be posted.

  • Temporary food establishment means a food establishment that operates for a period of no more than fourteen consecutive days in conjunction with a single event or celebration.

  • temporary resident means a person who, in accordance with standards prescribed in rules adopted by the registrar, resides in this state on a temporary basis.
