Teaching Materials definition

Teaching Materials means any materials created by University employees in the course of their employment that are primarily intended (whether by the University or by some third party) to be used or accessed by students at any level, for the purposes of any course of study which those students are following, including: • course guides, handouts, on-line materials (including annotated scores and manuscripts);• presentation materials (including lecture notes, slides, animations, graphics, interactive software and other audio-visual materials);• virtual learning environments;• instruction manuals;• artifacts (including models and apparatus for practical demonstration and experimental work); and• Assessment and examination questions. Materials can be in any format including hard copy and electronic;
Teaching Materials shall include all printed and digital products created by academic personnel, the presentation of which may or may not be influenced by non-academic personnel, including course notes, course outlines, teaching notes, presentations, and examinations, and including materials used for distance and continuing education.
Teaching Materials means any materials such as online tests, tutorials or downloadable contact made available to you in connection with the provision of the Services.

  • Academic Member(s) own rights in and to Intellectual Property in Teaching Materials, Scholarly Works and Inventions for which they are a Creator and the University owns rights in and to Intellectual Property in Assigned Task Materials and Intellectual Property created by Students engaged in work that is not part of their academic studies (e.g. work study), Non-Academic Members, Contractors, Volunteers and Senior Administrators.

  • In respect of Teaching Materials and Scholarly Works owned by Academic Members under this Policy, this license is limited to Teaching Materials and Scholarly Works that are electronic and/or printed and distributed, or have been made or are being made publicly available to Students, in connection with an academic course, and for which the Academic Member is a Creator.


More Definitions of Teaching Materials

Teaching Materials means Works created in whole or in part by a University Member in connection with or related to conveying the content of a particular academic course offered through the University, including long distance and continuing education courses, that is delivered to Students registered at the University or to Students registered in an academic program jointly administered by the University. Teaching Materials includes but is not limited to microcredentials, course notes, teaching notes, custom books, tutorials, evaluation tools, presentations, non-final examinations. For clarity, “Teaching Materials” does not include any Works that are “Assigned Task Materials”.
Teaching Materials means any materials created at the School or created on behalf of the School that are primarily intended (whether by the School or by some third party) to be used or accessed by Students at any level, for the purposes of any course of study those Students are following including course guides, handouts (including annotated scores and manuscripts), instruction manuals and assessment and examination questions.
Teaching Materials means all works created by staff, students or other parties in the course of, or for use in, teaching at Ikon (including but not limited to lecture notes and material, presentations, syllabi, handouts, study guides, course software and assessment materials) regardless of format (including but not limited to print, digital, electronic, multi-media presentations and web content), but excludes personal lecture notes by staff that are not made available to students, or personal notes taken by students to assist in their own study.
Teaching Materials means written materials (either in hard copy or soft copy for posting on Websites as “Lecture Notes”) prepared for a particular course or courses, and emanating from the teaching and/or research experiences of one or more academic staff of the University.
Teaching Materials means materials and supplies for primary school teachers’ use in their functions, but excluding textbooks and teachers’ guides;
Teaching Materials means any materials created within the University or created on behalf of the University that is intended to be used or accessed by students for purposes of their course of study.
Teaching Materials means any Work in any form or combination of forms created by any Staff Member for the primary purpose of teaching and education at the University.
