Teacher of record definition

Teacher of record means a teacher who meets all of the following:
Teacher of record means an individual (or individuals in co-teaching assignments) who has been assigned the lead responsibility for a student’s learning in a subject/course with aligned performance measures.
Teacher of record means the teacher who is employed by a provider and to whom students are assigned for purposes of reporting and data submissions to the Superintendent in accordance with Section R277-484-3.

Examples of Teacher of record in a sentence

  • The Teacher of Record will input a minimum of three (3) grades by the Interim Period.

  • Student work may include packets prepared by other sources than the Teacher of Record in the event that less than five days notice is provided.

  • A Teacher of Record (TOR) who is a bargaining unit member shall be assigned to each student whose plan is approved.

  • The CFC shall review students’ applications for Credit Flexibility Plans (“CFPs”) and determine whether a Teacher of Record (“TOR”) is necessary in order to award credit and a grade for completion of the students’ CFPs.

  • Teachers who are interested to be a Teacher of Record (TOR) shall apply to the Committee no later than October 15th.


More Definitions of Teacher of record

Teacher of record means a teacher who holds a valid Michigan teaching certificate; who, if applicable, is endorsed in the subject area and grade of the course; and is responsible for providing instruction, determining instructional methods for each pupil, diagnosing learning needs, assessing pupil learning, prescribing intervention strategies, reporting outcomes, and evaluating the effects of instruction and support strategies. Until February 1, 2020, if the district partners with an education management organization for the program, the teacher of record may be employed by or contracted through the education management organization.
Teacher of record means the recipient of an alternative teaching license named in an employment contract with an LEA responsible for teaching students and managing a classroom the majority of the time. The teacher of record is responsible for lesson planning, assigning grades, meeting with parents, and completing all duties of a classroom teacher with a standard teaching license.
Teacher of record means a teacher to whom the academic growth of a student in a course or other learning experience is attributed, in whole or in part, as described in Section 7(2).
Teacher of record means a teacher to whom all of the following apply:

Teacher of record for the purposes of this rule means the teacher to whom students are assigned for purposes of reporting for USOE data submissions.
