Target Field definition

Target Field means (a) the treatment and/or prophylaxis of any or all Indications in Fibrosis […***…] and (b) to the extent that Regulus Controls […***…] the applicable Collaboration Target as […***…] for […***…] to the corresponding Licensed Compound in the treatment and/or prophylaxis of an Indication in Fibrosis […***…].
Target Field means neurology (including, without limitation, the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy), interventional neuroradiology, interventional radiology, diagnosis and treatment of male and female reproductive disorders, and design, development, manufacture and sale of vascular prostheses, including, without limitation, stents and grafts.
Target Field with respect to each Target means the disease state(s) that are a focus of a collaborative research effort by the Parties pursuant to the Research Program with the objective of identifying compounds with potential diagnostic and/or therapeutic utility for the treatment/management of said disease state(s), as determined by the JSMC pursuant to Section 2.1. For example, a program focused on the discovery of a novel thrombin inhibitor would be within the Target Field of anticoagulants. Therefore, other protease inhibitors that are not anticoagulants would be outside the Target Field. For purposes of this definition, anti-infectives shall be considered a single Target Field.
