Surgery definition

Surgery means any of the following:
Surgery or “Surgical Procedure” means manual and / or operative procedure(s) required for treatment of an illness or injury, correction of deformities and defects, diagnosis and cure of diseases, relief from suffering and prolongation of life, performed in a hospital or day care centre by a medical practitioner.

  • Group Health’s medical director will determine whether the care or treatment required is within the category of Oral Surgery or Dental Services.

  • The Surgery Program provides Participants with access to a physical therapist, a health coach, and sensor-guided exercise therapy, and covers both pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation for the most common MSK surgeries and is designed as a continuation of the Chronic Program.
