Surface Lands definition

Surface Lands means the surface lands that overlay the mineral lands that are subject to the Properties;
Surface Lands means the surface area of the islands of Tongatapu, 'Eua, Ha'apai, Vava'u and other islands in the Kingdom of Tonga, excluding the foreshore of these islands.Words not defined in these Regulations but which are defined in the Petroleum Mining Act shall, unless the context otherwise requires, have the meaning given to them in the Act. 3 Graticulation of earth's surface and constitution of blocks
Surface Lands means the Xxxxxxx Star Surface Lands and the Mines d’Or Surface Lands.

Examples of Surface Lands in a sentence

  • Lessee may, upon taking possession thereof, remove and disturb such Surface Lands or any part thereof, except that Lessee shall, in its operations, prevent and avoid damage to existing oil xxxxx and/or pipelines.

  • Forthwith upon termination of the need by Lessee for any particular part of the said Surface Lands in connection with its mining operations hereunder, as determined by Lessee’s mining plans, Lessee shall surrender possession thereof to Lessor, subject to the provisions of Article 8, Lessee shall, prior to such surrender of possession, comply with all applicable statutes and regulations then in effect with respect to restoration of such Surface Lands.

  • Lessee will conduct mining operations on the Premises and the Surface Lands in a reasonable and professional manner in accordance with standard practices employed in western Kentucky coalfields.

  • Lessee shall have the right to make re-entry onto the Surface Lands with machinery and equipment from time to time after the formal termination of the term hereof for the purpose of compliance with any federal, state or local government requirements.

  • Except as otherwise provided herein, Lessor shall retain possession of the surface rights related to the Premises (the “Surface Lands”), until the same shall be required by Lessee in connection with its mining operations hereunder, it being recognized by Lessee that the Surface Lands are now or may hereafter be used by Lessor for farming or other purposes.

  • Lessee shall pay or cause to be paid the real estate taxes levied on the Premises and the Surface Lands and shall pay all severance taxes or other taxes based upon production of coal mined from the Premises.

  • Thereafter, Lessee shall have no further obligations or rights with respect to such lands surrendered and the same shall be deemed to be no longer a part of the Surface Lands; provided, however, that nothing contained in this sentence shall derogate from or be construed to deny to Lessee, with respect to lands so surrendered, the rights granted herein.

  • At Lessor’s request, and upon Lessee’s consent, such consent not to be unreasonably withheld, Lessee may surrender additional Surface Lands to Lessor that are not in Lessee’s mining plan or have been reclaimed by Lessee and reclamation bonds released.

  • Lessor, for itself and its successors and assigns, covenants that Lessee shall, against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming the whole or any part of the Premises or the Surface Lands by, through, or under Lessor, have and quietly possess and enjoy the Premises and the Surface Lands throughout the term of this Lease, so long as Lessee shall not be in default in the performance of any covenant of this Lease incumbent upon it to be kept and performed.

Surface Lands has the meaning set forth in the preamble of this Agreement.

Related to Surface Lands

  • Subject Lands means the lands subject to or covered by the oil and gas leases described in Exhibit A, insofar and only insofar as they are located within the AMI Area and cover the Target Formation, subject to the exceptions, exclusions and reservations set forth on such Exhibit A.

  • Crown lands has the same meaning as is given to that term by the Land Act;

  • Surface owner means any person who holds record title to the surface of the land as an owner.

  • Surface mining means mining by removing the overburden lying above the natural deposits and excavating directly from the natural deposits exposed, or by excavating directly from deposits lying exposed in their natural state and shall include dredge operations conducted in or on natural waterways or artificially created waterways within the state.

  • Soil means all unconsolidated mineral and organic material of any origin.

  • Subject Property means any premises located in the County on which an energy efficiency improvements, water efficiency improvements, or renewable resource applications are being or have been made and financed through an outstanding PACE loan.

  • Land means the land described in Exhibit A.

  • Groundwater means all water, which is below the surface of the ground in the saturation zone and in direct contact with the ground or subsoil.

  • Leaseholds of any Person means all the right, title and interest of such Person as lessee or licensee in, to and under leases or licenses of land, improvements and/or fixtures.

  • Crown land means land in which there is a Crown interest or a Duchy interest;

  • Project site, where applicable, means the place indicated in bidding documents.

  • Project Land means any parcel or parcels of land on which the project is developed and constructed by a promoter;

  • Concession Area means particulars of the area as more particularly described in Form A of West Bengal Minor Minerals (Auction) Rules, 2016.

  • adjacent land means all land that borders a property and all land that would have bordered a property, if they were not separated by a river, road, railway line, power transmission line, pipeline, or a similar feature;

  • Oil and Gas Leases means all leases, subleases, licenses or other occupancy or similar agreements under which a Person leases, subleases or licenses or otherwise acquires or obtains operating rights in and to Hydrocarbons or any other real property which is material to the operation of such Person’s business.

  • Leased Premises means the Leased Premises as defined in Paragraph 1.

  • Buildings means any and all buildings, structures, garages, utility sheds, workrooms, air conditioning towers, open parking areas and other improvements, and any and all additions, alterations, betterments or appurtenances thereto, now or at any time hereafter situated, placed or constructed upon the Land or any part thereof.

  • Mineral means gas, oil, and coal; other gaseous, liquid, and solid hydrocarbons; oil shale; cement material; sand and gravel; road material; building stone; chemical raw material; gemstone; fissionable and nonfissionable ores; colloidal and other clays; steam and other geothermal resources; and any other substance defined as a mineral by a law of this state.

  • The Site, where applicable, means the designated project place(s) named in the bidding document.

  • Subject Properties has the meaning specified in Section 5.13(a).
