Substantial Supervision definition

Substantial Supervision means continual oversight that may include cueing by verbal prompting, gestures, or other demonstrations by another person, and which is needed to protect you from threats to health and safety.
Substantial Supervision means the presence of another individual for the purpose of protecting you from harming yourself or others.

  • You must also provide us with a Licensed Health Care Practitioner’s Certification that you are unable to perform (without Substantial Assistance from another individual) two or more Activities of Daily Living for a period of at least 90 days, or that you require Substantial Supervision by another individual to protect you from threats to your health or safety due to Severe Cognitive Impairment.
