Structured Parking definition

Structured Parking means an enclosed, structured floor area used for transient storage of motor vehicles, including associated circulation and building services (such as exhaust fans and ducts that serve the parking area) but not including loading docks, sally ports and building service areas such as enclosed auxiliary lobbies used to enter a building from the parking areas. It is often referred to as a Garage. Structured Parking excludes non-structured on-grade parking even if such parking is sheltered (as in a car port or under a building that is elevated on piers above on-grade parking).
Structured Parking means a structure in which vehicle parking is accommodated on multiple stories; a vehicle parking area that is underneath all or part of any story of a structure; or a vehicle parking area that is not underneath a structure, but is entirely covered, and has a parking surface at least eight feet below grade. Structured Parking does not include surface parking, residential garages, or carports, including solar carports.
Structured Parking means any multi-story structure designed for automobile parking with multiple levels for parking vehicles including parking garages, parking ramps, and parking decks. (Ord. 2012-166. Passed 2-4-13.)
