Stormwater Control Facilities definition

Stormwater Control Facilities or “Facility” means any facility, improvement, development, property or interest therein, made, constructed or acquired for the purpose of controlling, or protecting life or property from, any storm, waste, flood or surplus waters wherever located within the Service Area and shall include but not be limited to the improvements and authority described in RCW 35.67.010(3) and RCW 35.67.020.

Stormwater Control Facilities means a constructed component of a stormwater drainage system designed or constructed to perform a particular function, or multiple functions. Stormwater control facilities include, but are not limited to, pipes, swales, ditches, culverts, street gutters, detention ponds, retention ponds, constructed wetlands, infiltration devices, catch basins, oil/water separators, bioretention, permeable pavement, and biofiltration swales. Related to Stormwater Control Facilities

  • Stormwater management facility means a control measure that controls stormwater runoff and changes the characteristics of that runoff including, but not limited to, the quantity and quality, the period of release or the velocity of flow.
