State universities definition

State universities means the University of Washington and Washington State University.
State universities and “Universities” shall mean, collectively, Bridgewater State University, Fitchburg State University, Framingham State University, the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Salem State University, Westfield State University and Worcester State University; when used in the singular, the terms “State University” and “University” shall mean any one or another of such State Universities. These institutions were formerly known as State Colleges until the effective date of Chapter 189 of the Acts of 2010. The term “State Universities” shall refer to the institutions formerly known as State Colleges.

  • Notice of any vacancies in the Minnesota State Universities shall be made known to the faculty by means of posting on bulletin boards designated for such purposes, shall be included in the university/President’s newsletter and shall be sent to the IFO simultaneously with any other publication of the vacancies.

  • Faculty members who elect to retire with at least fifteen (15) years of service in the Minnesota State Universities and who are at least age fifty-five (55) shall have their salary placement increased by two additional steps on the salary schedule(s) established in this Agreement in the final two semesters of employment.

  • Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes §§ 354A.094, 354B.31 and 354.66 regarding part-time employment, faculty members who have reached age fifty-five (55) and have ten (10) or more FTE years of service in the Minnesota State Universities shall be eligible for phased retirement.
