State Listed Species definition

State Listed Species means the Covered Species which are listed as threatened or endangered species, or a candidate for such status, under CESA, as of the Effective Date, and the Covered Species that are listed as threatened or endangered, or a candidate for such status pursuant to CESA during the term of the HCP/NCCP, as of the date of such listing.
State Listed Species means the species that are listed as threatened or endangered species, or a candidate for such status, under CESA, as fully protected species under the Fish & Game Code, or as rare species under the NPPA. See Cal. Code Regs., tit. 14, §§ 670.2, 670.5, Fish & Game Code §§3511, 4700, 4800, 5050 and 5515. Published notifications in the California Regulatory Notice Register identify candidate species.
State Listed Species means the Covered Species which are listed as threatened or endangered species, or a candidate for such status, under CESA, as of the Effective Date, and the Covered Species which are listed as threatened or endangered, or a candidate for such status pursuant to CESA during the term of the HCP, as of the date of such listing.

State Listed Species means species considered covered for the purposes of the State Permit and include only those HCP Species which are State-Listed. They are sand gilia (Gilia tenuiflora ssp. arenaria), seaside bird’s beak (Cordylanthus rigidus var. littoralis), and California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense).

These activities undertaken by the QIO may be included in a contractual relationship with the Iowa Medicaid enterprise.

  • Underground storage tank or “UST” means any one or combination of tanks (including underground pipes connected thereto) that is used to contain an accumulation of regulated substances, and the volume of which (including the volume of underground pipes connected thereto) is 10 percent or more beneath the surface of the ground. This term does not include any:

Invasive species may be regulated by county agricultural agencies as noxious species.   • health and safety specification means a site, activity or project specific document prepared by the client pertaining to all health and safety requirements related to construction work;

  • Aboveground storage tank shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in Section 6901 et seq., as amended, of RCRA, or any applicable state or local statute, law, ordinance, code, rule, regulation, order ruling, or decree governing aboveground storage tanks.

  • Flying bug insecticide means any insecticide product that is designed for use against flying insects or other flying arthropods, including but not limited to flies, mosquitoes, moths, or gnats. Flying bug insecticide does not include wasp and hornet insecticide, products that are designed to be used exclusively on humans or animals, or any moth-proofing product. For the purposes of this definition only, moth-proofing product means a product whose label, packaging, or accompanying literature indicates that the product is designed to protect fabrics from damage by moths, but does not indicate that the product is suitable for use against flying insects or other flying arthropods.

  • protected species means any of the following animals:

  • Iatrogenic infertility means an impairment of fertility by surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, or other medical treatment affecting reproductive organs or processes.

  • Explosives or munitions emergency response specialist means an individual trained in chemical or conventional munitions or explosives handling, transportation, render-safe procedures, or destruction techniques. Explosives or munitions emergency response specialists include Department of Defense (DOD) emergency explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), technical escort unit (TEU), and DOD-certified civilian or contractor personnel; and other Federal, State, or local government, or civilian personnel similarly trained in explosives or munitions emergency responses.

  • Aquatic invasive species means any invasive, prohibited,

  • Imminent danger to the health and safety of the public means the existence of any condition or practice, or any violation of a permit or other requirement of this chapter in a surface coal mining and reclamation operation, which condition, practice, or violation could reasonably be expected to cause substantial physical harm to persons outside the permit area before such condition, practice, or violation can be abated. A reasonable expectation of death or serious injury before abatement exists if a rational person, subjected to the same conditions or practices giving rise to the peril, would not expose the person's self to the danger during the time necessary for abatement.

  • Floodplain or flood-prone area means any land area susceptible to being inundated by water from any source (see definition of “flood”).

  • Flood protection system means those physical structural works for which funds have been authorized, appropriated, and expended and which have been constructed specifically to modify flooding in order to reduce the extent of the area within a community subject to a "special flood hazard" and the extent of the depths of associated flooding. Such a system typically includes hurricane tidal barriers, dams, reservoirs, levees or dikes. These specialized flood modifying works are those constructed in conformance with sound engineering standards.

  • Regulated Materials means any hazardous, toxic or dangerous waste, substance or material, the generation, handling, storage, disposal, treatment or emission of which is subject to any Environmental Law.

  • Biological safety cabinet means a containment unit suitable for the preparation of low to moderate risk agents where there is a need for protection of the product, personnel, and environment, according to National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) Standard 49.

  • Threatened or endangered species means all spe- cies of wildlife listed as "threatened" or "endangered" by the United States Secretary of the Interior or Commerce, and all species of wildlife designated as "threatened" or "endan- gered" by the Washington fish and wildlife commission.

  • Threatened species means any species which is likely to become an endangered species within the foreseeable future throughout all or a significant portion of its range.
