State Conservationist means the NRCS employee authorized to direct and supervise NRCS activities in a State, and includes the Directors of the Caribbean Area (Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands), or the Pacific Islands Area (Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands).

Examples of State Conservationist in a sentence

  • The Participant may request, in writing, a waiver of this requirement for financially assisted practices by the NRCS State Conservationist.

  • In the event of a violation of an agreement or any associated conserva- tion plan, the parties to the agreement shall be given reasonable notice and an opportunity to voluntarily correct the violation within 30 days of the date of the notice, or such additional time as the State Conservationist may allow.
