Starting Value definition

Starting Value means the Net Asset Value of one share of the Energy SPDR Fund on the date the MITTS Securities are priced for initial sale to the public (the "Pricing Date"). We will disclose the Starting Value to you in the final prospectus supplement delivered to you in connection with sales of the MITTS Securities.

Starting Value is , the closing value of the Index on August 23, 2004. The “Ending Value” will be the closing value of the Index on the third Index Business Day before the Stated Maturity Date.
