Standard Working Day definition

Standard Working Day means a standard working day between Monday to Friday, (excluding any UK bank holidays) and between the hours of 09:00 to 17:30 allowing 1 hour for a lunch break.
Standard Working Day each mean the period from 08:00 to 18:00 for each day from Monday to Friday including English and French public holidays; and
Standard Working Day means the total time for which a dentist is contracted to practice dentistry and to perform GDS-related activities in one week, divided by five.

Examples of Standard Working Day in a sentence

  • We assume the manager’s effort choice can either be 0 (low) or 1 (high).

  • Standard Working Day Tayside Contracts’ standard working day is 6am to 8pm.

  • The shooting day is paid as 10 Contracted Hours and may be scheduled in three different ways (or in any combination of these): Standard Working Day (“SWD”): 10 shooting hours with 1 hour unpaid lunch break for all on-set crew, for example 8am-7pm.

More Definitions of Standard Working Day

Standard Working Day means eight (8) hours for employees who normally work eight (8) or more hours. Employees who normally work less than eight (8) hours, shall have their standard work day as the average work day in the preceding month.
Standard Working Day means the hours of 9:00am to 5:30pm UTC (inclusive of one hour lunch break) during the Standard Working Week.
Standard Working Day means an 8-hour day, Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays, public holidays and weekends;
Standard Working Day means the working day of the individual employee, based on their approved schedule (eg: 7.75 hours if on a CH schedule or 7 hours if not).

Related to Standard Working Day

  • Non-working Day means any day upon which an employee, pursuant to the terms of the contract of employment, is not available to the employer for the purposes of rostering the ordinary hours of work.

  • Working Day means a day (other than a Saturday or Sunday) on which banks are open for general business in the City of London.

  • Work Day means any day that an Employee is regularly scheduled to work and for which the Employee receives payment from the Employer.

  • CSD Business Day means a day on which the Book-Entry Securities System is open in accordance with the regulations of the CSD.

  • Operating Day means the daily 24 hour period beginning at midnight for which transactions on the PJM Interchange Energy Market are scheduled.

  • Normal weekly hours of work means the established standard work times and number of hours in the workweek for the position or, if standard work times and number of hours have not been established for the position, the work times and average number of hours per week actually worked by the employee in that position over the most recent 3 months before the employer files the application for designation as a participating employer.
