Standard Work Day definition

Standard Work Day. The standard work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. exclusive of a one-hour unpaid lunch period. Hours worked which deviate from this standard are defined as "non-standard" work hours. The standard work day is eight (8) consecutive hours of work, exclusive of the lunch period, in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour period. Work days which deviate from this standard are considered as "non-standard" work days.
Standard Work Day. The eight and one-half (8 ½) consecutive hours period established pursuant to Article IV, Section 1 or, as to Service Employees, the eight and one-half hours (8 ½) period established pursuant to Service Addendum, Article VI, Section (b).
Standard Work Day means as per Article 14.02.

More Definitions of Standard Work Day

Standard Work Day means the number of hours an employee is required to work in order to receive a full day of pay and, as applicable, pension credit.

Related to Standard Work Day

  • Work Day means any day that an Employee is regularly scheduled to work and for which the Employee receives payment from the Employer.

  • Non-working Day means any day upon which an employee, pursuant to the terms of the contract of employment, is not available to the employer for the purposes of rostering the ordinary hours of work.

  • Work week means a seven (7) consecutive day week that consistently begins and ends on the same days throughout the year; i.e. Sunday through Saturday, Wednesday through Tuesday, Friday through Thursday.

  • Standard Software means Software identified as such in Appendix 4 of the Contract Agreement and such other Software as the parties may agree in writing to be Standard Software.

  • Normal weekly hours of work means the lesser of 40 hours or

  • Three-dimensional reference system means a system as described in Appendix 2 to this annex;

  • Time Worked means time during which an employee is performing labor or services for the benefit of an employer, including all time s/he is suffered or permitted to work, whether or not required to do so.

  • Start-Up Testing means the completion of applicable required factory and start-up tests as set forth in Exhibit C.

  • Application Review Start Date means the later date of either the date on which the District issues its written notice that the Applicant has submitted a completed Application or the date on which the Comptroller issues its written notice that the Applicant has submitted a completed Application and as further identified in Section 2.3.A of this Agreement.
