Examples of SPS measure in a sentence

  • If a Party has a significant concern with respect to food safety, plant health, or animal health, or an SPS measure that the other Party has proposed or implemented, that Party may request technical consultations with the other Party.

  • The importing Party shall accept the SPS measure of the exporting Party as equivalent to its own if the exporting Party objectively demonstrates to the importing Party that its measure achieves the importing Party's appropriate level of SPS protection.

  • If a Party requests technical consultations to address the emergency SPS measure, the technical consultations must be held within 10 days of the notification of the emergency SPS measure.

  • When a Party considers that an SPS measure of another Party is or might be contrary to the obligations under this Chapter, or that another Party has breached any obligation covered by this Chapter related to an SPS measure, such Party may request technical consultations in the SPS Sub-committee.

  • When a Party considers that an SPS measure affecting bilateral trade warrants further discussion, it may, through the contact points referred to under Article 6.5 (Competent Authorities and Contact Points), request full explanation and, if necessary, request consultations on that SPS measure.

  • Subject to the provisions of this Title, the Parties shall ensure that the introduction, alteration or modification of any SPS measure in their territories shall be based on scientific justifications and comply with the WTO SPS Agreement.
