Examples of Specific Goal in a sentence

  • If the MBE or WBE Contract Specific Goal cannot be reached and Good Faith Efforts have been made, as determined by the Chief Procurement Officer, the bidder or contractor may substitute with a non-MBE or non-WBE.

  • Where the bidder or contractor has established the basis for the substitution to the satisfaction of the Chief Procurement Officer, it must make Good Faith Efforts to meet the Contract Specific Goal by substituting a MBE or WBE subcontractor.

  • In order to count the participation of M/WBEs towards the Contract Specific Goal or Annual Goal, the M/WBE must be certified by the North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (NCTRCA), DFW Minority Supplier Development Council or the Women’s Business Council Southwest.

  • If a bid/proposal meets the Contract Specific Goal or shows an adequate good faith effort in accordance with the M/WBE Program Policy and Administrative Procedures, then BDDD shall notify the procuring department to regard the bid/proposal as responsive.

  • Whether or not the Contract Specific Goal has been met and/or whether there were sufficient good faith efforts is considered a matter of the Contractor’s responsiveness.

  • Only certified M/WBEs identified and the levels of participation listed for each at the time of bid/proposal submission will be considered in determining whether the Contractor has met the Contract Specific Goal.

  • If a bid/proposal subject to a Contract Specific Goal does not provide the necessary information, documentation or forms outlined in the M/WBE Program Policy and Administrative Procedures, then BDDD shall notify the procuring department to regard the bid/proposal as non-responsive.

  • The following factors are taken into account when assessing whether a Contractor made good faith efforts to meet the Contract Specific Goal.

  • These factors are minimally considered as good faith efforts and demonstrate specific initiatives made in attempting to achieve the Contract Specific Goal.

  • Mere pro forma efforts are not good faith efforts to meet the Contract Specific Goal.

  • Specific goals means specific goals as contemplated in section 2(1)(d) of the PPPFA which may include contracting with persons, or group of persons, historically disadvantaged by unfair discrimination on the basis of race, gender and disability including the implementation of programmes of the Reconstruction and Development Programme as published in Government Gazette No. 16085 dated 23 November 1994.

  • Contract Specific Goals means the subcontracting goals for MBE and WBE participation established for a particular contract.

  • Performance Goal means a performance goal established by the Committee pursuant to Section 10.3.

  • Performance Measure means one or more of the following selected by the Committee to measure Company, Affiliate, and/or business unit performance for a Performance Period, whether in absolute or relative terms (including, without limitation, terms relative to a peer group or index): basic, diluted, or adjusted earnings per share; sales or revenue; earnings before interest, taxes, and other adjustments (in total or on a per share basis); basic or adjusted net income; returns on equity, assets, capital, revenue or similar measure; economic value added; working capital; total shareholder return; and product development, product market share, research, licensing, litigation, human resources, information services, mergers, acquisitions, sales of assets of Affiliates or business units. Each such measure shall be, to the extent applicable, determined in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles as consistently applied by the Company (or such other standard applied by the Committee) and, if so determined by the Committee, and in the case of a Performance Compensation Award, to the extent permitted under Code Section 162(m), adjusted to omit the effects of extraordinary items, gain or loss on the disposal of a business segment, unusual or infrequently occurring events and transactions and cumulative effects of changes in accounting principles. Performance Measures may vary from Performance Period to Performance Period and from Participant to Participant, and may be established on a stand-alone basis, in tandem or in the alternative.

  • Performance Metrics means criteria established by the Administrator relating to any of the following, as it may apply to an individual, one or more business units, divisions, or Affiliates, or on a company-wide basis, and in absolute terms, relative to a base period, or relative to the performance of one or more comparable companies, peer groups, or an index covering multiple companies:

  • Performance Formula means, for a Performance Period, the one or more objective formulae applied against the relevant Performance Goal to determine, with regard to the Performance Compensation Award of a particular Participant, whether all, some portion but less than all, or none of the Performance Compensation Award has been earned for the Performance Period.

  • Target Population means persons with low incomes who have one or more disabilities, including mental illness, HIV or AIDS, substance abuse, or other chronic health condition, or individuals eligible for services provided pursuant to the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act (Division 4.5 (commencing with Section 4500) of the Welfare and Institutions Code) and may include, among other populations, adults, emancipated minors, families with children, elderly persons, young adults aging out of the foster care system, individuals exiting from institutional settings, veterans, and homeless people.

  • Licensed Level means a) when referenced in the context of a Named User, the quantity of Metric for which each individual Named User category and type is licensed -and- b) when referenced in the context of a Package, the quantity of Metric for which each individual Package is licensed; and

  • Performance Objective means a standard established by the Committee to determine in whole or in part whether a Performance Award shall be earned.

  • Performance Targets means the specific objective goal or goals (which may be cumulative and/or alternative) that are timely set in writing by the Committee for each Executive for the Performance Period in respect of any one or more of the Business Criteria.

  • Weighting factor wT for an organ or tissue (T) means the proportion of the risk of stochastic effects resulting from irradiation of that organ or tissue to the total risk of stochastic effects when the whole body is irradiated uniformly. For calculating the effective dose equivalent, the values of wT are:

  • Acceptance Criteria means the Specifications, goals, performance measures, testing results and/or other criteria designated by the Agency and against which the Deliverables may be evaluated for purposes of Acceptance or Non-acceptance thereof.

  • Usage Metric means the standard of measurement for determining the permitted use and calculating the fees due for a Cloud Service as set forth in an Order Form.

  • Performance Milestone means an act or event specified in section 5.1 and described in section 9 of the EPLA.

  • Performance Indicator means a measure of HSP performance for which a Performance Target is set; technical specifications of specific Performance Indicators can be found in the MSAA Indicator Technical Specifications document;

  • ASAM criteria means the most current edition of the American Society of Addiction Medicine's published criteria for admission to treatment, continued services, and discharge.

  • Project Milestones means the project milestones set forth in Schedule-G;

  • Performance Factor means any matter that could or will significantly affect a party’s ability to fulfill its obligations under this Agreement;

  • Maximum contaminant level goal or “MCLG” means the maximum level of a contaminant in drinking water at which no known or anticipated adverse effect on the health of persons would occur, and which allows an adequate margin of safety. MCLGs are nonenforceable health goals.

  • Key Performance Indicator means a measure that captures the performance of a critical variable to expand and improve community-based corrections programs to promote offender success, ensure accountability, enhance public safety, and reduce recidivism.

  • Reference evapotranspiration or “ETo” means a standard measurement of environmental parameters which affect the water use of plants. ETo is given expressed in inches per day, month, or year as represented in Appendix C of these Guidelines, and is an estimate of the evapotranspiration of a large field of four to seven-inch tall, cool-season grass that is well watered. Reference evapotranspiration is used as the basis of determining the Maximum Applied Water Allowances.

  • Multiplier means 1.0.

  • Metric means a) when referenced in the context of a Named User, the individual Named User category and type (and corresponding Named User definition setting for such Named User’s use rights) as further described in Section 2.1 hereof -and- b) when referenced in the context of a Package, the individual business metric corresponding with each Package as further described in Section 2.2 hereof;

  • Performance Target means the level of performance expected of the HSP in respect of a Performance Indicator or a Service Volume; “person or entity” includes any individual and any corporation, partnership, firm, joint venture or other single or collective form of organization under which business may be conducted;

  • Performance Level means a reference to one of Performance Level I, Performance Level II, Performance Level III, Performance Level IV or Performance Level V.

  • Goal means the intended or projected result of a comprehensive corrections plan or community corrections program to reduce prison commitment rates, to reduce the length of stay in a jail, or to improve the utilization of a jail.
