Specialty Mental Health Services means 1) 24 hour services/Mode 5 - Hospital Inpatient, Hospital Administrative Day, Psychiatric Health Facility(PHF), Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Intensive, Institute for Mental Disease (IMD), Adult Crisis Residential, Jail Inpatient, Residential Other, Adult Residential, Semi-Supervised Living, Independent Living, Mental Health Rehab Center; 2) Day Services/Mode 10 – Crisis Stabilization, Vocational Services, Socialization, SNF Augmentation, Day Treatment IntensiveHalf Day, Day Treatment Intensive – Full Day, Day Rehabilitation – Half Day, Day Rehabilitation – Full Day; 3) Outpatient Services/Mode 15 – Case Management, Brokerage, Collateral, Professional Inpatient Visit, Outpatient Mental Health Services – Assessment, Plan Development, Therapy, Rehabilitation, Therapeutic Behavioral Services, Medication Support, Crisis Intervention; 4) Outreach Services/Mode 45; and 5) Support Services/Mode 60.

Examples of Specialty Mental Health Services in a sentence

  • If Title XIX Short-Doyle/Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services are provided under this Agreement, Provider authorizes County to serve as the fiscal intermediary for claiming and reimbursement for such Title XIX Short-Doyle/Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services to act on Provider's behalf with SDHCS and/or SDSS in regard to claiming reimbursement for Title XIX Short-Doyle/Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services.

  • Subclass Members: Any Specialty Mental Health Services adjudicated and approved through the SDMC claiming system with the "KTA" DPI or billed with either Intensive Care Coordination or Intensive Home Based Services.

  • In addition, while this report provides information on a county by county basis, it does not provide information regarding the factors that lead to possible differences among counties in their implementation of ICC and IHBS and provision of other Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) to subclass members.

  • In the event that a post-contract audit conducted by County, State, and/or Federal personnel, determines that the amounts paid by County to Provider for any Title XIX Short-Doyle Specialty Mental Health Services furnished hereunder are more than the amounts allowable pursuant to this Agreement, then the difference shall be due by Provider to County.

  • Any violations of the terms of this contract, and applicable federal and state law and regulations, and the requirements specified in California’s Medicaid State Plan, the 1915(b) Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) Waiver, and DHCS’ contract with the MHP, in accordance with Welfare & Institutions Code § 14712(e), § 14713, subd.

  • Claims for Title XIX Short-Doyle/Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services, provided to eligible Medi-Cal beneficiaries, will be paid to Provider, only for the period of time Provider is certified as a Title XIX Short-Doyle/Medi-Cal Provider, and only to the extent required by Federal laws, regulations, manuals, guidelines, and directives.

  • Provider shall be solely liable and responsible for all data and information submitted by Provider to County in support of all claims for Title XIX Short-Doyle/Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services submitted by County as the fiscal intermediary to, SDHCS and/or SDSS and for any subsequent State approvals or denials of such claims that may be based on data and information submitted by Provider.

  • Provider shall hold County harmless from and against any loss to Provider resulting from any such State denials, unresolved EOB claims, and/or any County, Federal and/or State audit disallowances for such Title XIX Short-Doyle/Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services.

  • Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, if Title XIX Short-Doyle/Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services, are provided hereunder, such services shall comply with and be compensated in accordance with all applicable Federal and State reimbursement requirements.

  • County is the State Designated fiscal intermediary for Title XIX Short-Doyle/Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services.

SPECIALTY CARE VISIT: A specialty care outpatient visit is an episode of care furnished in a clinic that does not provide primary care, and is only provided through a referral.” These services are generally divided into two sub-categories: medicine specialties and surgery specialties. The VHA site classification defines specialty care as those encounters that occur within the geriatric medicine; allergy; cardiology; dermatology; emergency; employee health; endocrinology; gastroenterology; general medicine; hematology or oncology; infectious disease; nephrology; neurology; outreach; pulmonary or respiratory disease; rheumatology; amputation follow-up; amputation; anesthesia; cardio-thoracic; ear, nose, and throat (ENT); eye; general surgery; gynecology (GYN); neurosurgery; orthopedics; plastic surgery; urology; or vascular clinic stops.

Related to Specialty Mental Health Services

  • Mental health services means interventions designed to provide the maximum reduction of mental disability and restoration or maintenance of functioning consistent with the requirements for learning, development and enhanced self-sufficiency. Services shall include:

  • School health services means health services provided by a qualified school nurse or other qualified person that are designed to enable a child with a disability to receive FAPE as described in the child’s IEP.

  • Health services means, but shall not be limited to, examination, diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, pharmaceuticals, aftercare, habilitation or rehabilitation and mental health therapy of any kind, as well as payment or reimbursement for any such services.

  • Home health services means part-time or intermittent skilled nursing services, other therapeutic services (physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy), and home health aide services made available on a visiting basis in a place of residence used as the client's home.

  • Telehealth services means the mode of delivering health care services and public health via information and communication technologies to facilitate the diagnosis, consultation, treatment, education, care management, and self-management of a patient's health care while the patient is at the originating site and the provider for telehealth is at a distant site. Telehealth facilitates patient self-management and caregiver support for patients and includes synchronous interactions and asynchronous store and forward transfers.

  • Health service area or “HSA” refers to the distinct geographic regions described in Section 4.1.4 or the Vermont Blueprint for Health Manual.

  • Mental health services provider means an individual, licensed or unlicensed, who performs or purports to perform mental health services, including a:

  • Home health aide services means the personal care and maintenance activities provided to individuals for the purpose of promoting normal standards of health and hygiene.

  • SPECIALTY HOSPITAL means a hospital or the specialty unit of a general hospital that is licensed by the state. It must be designed to care for patients with injuries or special illnesses. This includes, but is not limited to, a long-term acute care unit, an acute mental health or acute short-term rehabilitation unit or hospital. Hospital does not mean: • convalescent home; • rest home; • nursing home; • home for the aged; • school and college infirmary; • residential treatment facility; • long-term care facility; • urgent care center or freestanding ambulatory surgical center; • facility providing mainly custodial, educational or rehabilitative care; or • a section of a hospital used for custodial, educational or rehabilitative care, even if accredited by the JCAHO or listed in the AHA directory.

  • Community mental health center or "CMHC" means a facility offering a comprehensive array of community-based mental health services, including but not limited to, inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, emergency care, consultation and education; and, certain services at the option of the center, including, but not limited to, prescreening, rehabilitation services, pre-care and aftercare, training programs, and research and evaluation.

  • Mental health service provider means a public or private

  • Pharmacy services means the practice of pharmacy as defined in chapter 18.64 RCW and includes any drugs or devices as defined in chapter 18.64 RCW.

  • Community mental health program means all mental health

  • Emergency medical services or “EMS” means an integrated medical care delivery system to provide emergency and nonemergency medical care at the scene or during out-of-hospital patient transportation in an ambulance.

  • DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES means therapies, typically provided by a qualified professional using a treatment plan, that are intended to lessen deficiencies in normal age appropriate function. The therapies generally are meant to limit deficiencies related to injury or disease that have been present since birth. This is true even if the deficiency was detected during a later developmental stage. The deficiency may be the result of injury or disease during the developmental period. Developmental services are applied for sustained periods of time to promote acceleration in developmentally related functional capacity. This plan covers developmental services unless specifically listed as not covered.

  • Specialty coating means any coating that is manufactured and used for one (1) of the following specialized applications:

  • Health-related services means the same as in A.R.S. § 36-401.

  • Dental Services means diagnostic, preventive, or corrective

  • Medical home means a team approach to providing health care that originates in a primary care setting; fosters a partnership among the patient, the personal provider, and other health care professionals, and where appropriate, the patient’s family; utilizes the partnership to access and integrate all medical and nonmedical health-related services across all elements of the health care system and the patient’s community as needed by the patient and the patient’s family to achieve maximum health potential; maintains a centralized, comprehensive record of all health-related services to promote continuity of care; and has all of the characteristics specified in section 135.158.

  • Health Service means a Local Health District constituted under section 8 of the Health Services Act 1997, a Statutory Health Corporation constituted under section 11 of that Act, and an Affiliated Health Organisation constituted under section 13 of that Act.

  • Psychiatric hospital means an Institution constituted, licensed, and operated as set forth in the laws that apply to Hospitals, which meets all of the following requirements:
