Special review definition

Special review means a review of new material that is not conducted during the summer review institute. It may be convened at the request of a publisher with the approval of the chief, or for other reasons as determined by the chief. The special review is conducted by a panel of three highly qualified teachers who have been selected for this purpose. The department shall charge a processing fee to vendors of instructional materials not to exceed the retail value of the instructional material submitted for adoption.
