Special educator definition

Special educator means a person trained in communication with people with special needs in a way that addresses their individual differences and needs;
Special educator means a person employed by a school district, charter school, or the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind who holds:
Special educator shall include, but not be limited to, Special Education Teachers, Resource Teachers, Social Workers, Psychologists and Speech Pathologists.

  • Pre-kindergarten through fourth grade teachers shall have no more than one (1) team meeting and one (1) building or administrative directed meeting per week unless meetings are initiative (i.e. RtI) or emergency in nature, or meetings of committees established pursuant to this Agreement (i.e. Labor Management Committee, Special Educator Workload Committee, etc.).

  • Fifth through eighth grade teachers shall have no more than five (5) team meetings per week which shall occur during non-student contact time and may include one (1) building or administrative directed meeting per week unless meetings are initiative (i.e. RtI) or emergency in nature, or meetings of committees established pursuant to this Agreement (i.e. Labor Management Committee, Special Educator Workload Committee, etc.).

  • In addition, Special Education Teacher may be assigned up to ten (10) days of work in order to accomplish the additional duties required of a Special Educator.

  • Consultative services may be indicated on a student’s IEP and refer to the amount of minutes delineated for a Special Educator to consult with service providers to effectively deliver services required under the student’s IEP.

  • Caseload for Special Educators, the following shall apply:  If the caseload is exceeded, the Special Educator shall receive one additional Paperwork Day per semester, and $100 per semester for each student above the caseload.

  • Retention and Employment Outcome - The CRP shall provide support to the client and/or employer to ensure job success until the CRP and VR agree the client has reached a successful employment outcome.

  • The Tennessee Department of Education has issued Guidelines regarding service obligations and other requirements for students who receive financial assistance under the Become A Special Educator in TN Teaching Program (BASE-TN Teaching Program).
