Short-Term Disability Coverage definition

Short-Term Disability Coverage means the group short-term disability coverage as amended from time to time offered pursuant to an Agreement.
Short-Term Disability Coverage means any group short-term disability coverage maintained for Employees by the Employer under a separate plan, program, insurance policy or contract, which satisfies the requirements of Sections 105 and 106 of the Code.

Examples of Short-Term Disability Coverage in a sentence

  • A New Participant whose Coverage is terminated and returns to Coverage within fifty-two (52) weeks of the date that his previous Coverage (including Short-Term Disability Coverage) terminated shall have Immediate Coverage.

  • A Covered Participant who has a Total and Permanent Disability or who goes on Sick Leave shall lose his Coverage after the Saturday of the last week for which Employer Contributions are required to be made on his behalf under the applicable law or Collective Bargaining Agreement, unless Short-Term Disability Coverage is in effect (see Section 20.01(a) for application, if any).

  • Employees or Participants who elect Health Care Coverage, Dental Coverage, Vision Coverage, Short-Term Disability Coverage, Long-Term Disability Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance or Employee Life Insurance for which a premium copayment is required under an Agreement or by law may also elect to make such premium copayment on a pre-tax basis under the Cafeteria Plan.

  • Disability Termination means the termination of a Participant’s employment under the disability provisions of the Participant’s Employment Agreement or, if the Participant is not a party to an Employment Agreement, then as a result of a “Disability” as defined in the Plan.

  • Physical disability means a severe, chronic condition that is attributable to a physical impairment that results in substantial limitations of physical functioning in three or more of the following areas of major life activities: self-care, receptive and expressive language, learning, mobility, self-direction, capacity for independent living, and economic self-sufficiency.

  • Permanent total disability means incapacity because of accidental injury or occupational disease to earn any wages in any employment for which the employee may become physically suited and reasonably fitted by education, training or experience, including vocational rehabilitation; loss of both hands, or both feet, or both legs, or both eyes, or any two thereof, shall constitute permanent total disability;

  • Disability or Disabled means that during the Elimination Period and your Own Occupation Period you are, as a result of Physical Disease, Injury, Mental Disorder, Substance Abuse or Pregnancy, unable to perform one or more of the Material Duties of your Own Occupation, and, due to such inability, your Work Earnings are less than 80% of your Indexed Predisability Earnings, and you are incapable of earning 80% or more of your Indexed Predisability Earnings.   • Disabled means a grantee who (i) is unable to engage in any substantial gainful activity by reason of any medically determinable physical or mental impairment that can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than 12 months, or (ii) is, by reason of any medically determinable physical or mental impairment that can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than 12 months, receiving income replacement benefits for a period of not less than three months under an accident and health plan covering employees of the Company or its Subsidiaries.

  • Service-connected disability means a disability incurred or aggravated in the line of duty in the active military, naval, or air service as described in 38 USC 101(16).

  • Health Benefits means health maintenance organization, insured or self-funded medical, dental, vision, prescription drug and behavioral health benefits.

  • Disabled or Disability means Disabled or Disability within the meaning of Section 409A of the Code and the regulations thereunder. Generally, this means that the Participant is unable to engage in any substantial gainful activity by reason of any medically determinable physical or mental impairment which can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than 12 months, or is, by reason of any medically determinable physical or mental impairment which can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than 12 months, receiving income replacement benefits for a period of not less than three months under an accident and health plan covering Employees of the Employer.

  • Health insurance coverage means benefits consisting of medical care (provided directly, through
