Sessional Faculty Member definition

Sessional Faculty Member means a person employed by UFV as an instructor, lecturer, assistant professor, associate professor, or professor on a per course semesterly contract.
Sessional Faculty Member means a Faculty Member appointed by the Board of Governors to teach credit course(s), full-time or part-time, or to perform related duties such as course coordination or laboratory supervision, for a period of less than twelve (12) months, including sessional faculty members in the Centre for Teaching Learning and Technology (CTLT).

Examples of Sessional Faculty Member in a sentence

  • A Sessional Faculty Member who has taught four (4) consecutive (not concurrent) course deliveries of the same or substantially similar course shall have Right of First Refusal, to the identical or substantially similar course, if such course continues as a curriculum offering and is made available for non-regular appointment, to a maximum of three (3) sections of any three (3) credit course workload.

  • If a Sessional Faculty Member fails to maintain satisfactory performance reviews his/her Right of First Refusal shall be revoked.

  • If a Sessional Faculty Member fails to maintain satisfactory performance reviews their Right of First Refusal shall be revoked.

  • Such Faculty Members shall be considered to have a full workload when the work performed in each of the functional areas, as a proportion of a full workload for that area as indicated in Article 10, when summed equals 1.0. 10.3.1.2 All Tenure-track, Tenured and Limited Term Contract Faculty Members shall be assigned work before any Continuing Sessional Faculty Member.

  • Adjunct or Sessional Faculty Member is entitled to an unpaid parental or adoption leave for the duration of his/her current contract.

  • The only reasons for non-renewal of appointment of a Sessional Faculty Member shall be (a) teaching performance; or (b) lack of funding; or (c) discontinuance or non-scheduling of a course or section of a course; or (d) for just cause as is generally recognized at law.

Related to Sessional Faculty Member

  • Faculty Member means any person hired by the college or District to conduct classroom or teaching activities or who is otherwise considered by the college to be a member of faculty.

  • University Member means any individual who is:

  • Participating abstractor means an abstractor who is authorized to participate in the title guaranty program and who is in full compliance with the abstractor’s participation agreement, the Code of Iowa, these rules, the manual, staff supplements, and any other written or oral instructions or requirements given by the division.

  • Classroom teacher means a teacher subject to annual performance evaluation review under the provisions of Education Law Section 3012-c.

  • Principal Investigator or “PI” is the person, designated by University, and accepted by Sponsor, who is directly responsible for executing, directing, overseeing and reporting a Sponsored Project under this Agreement.

  • Adjunct faculty means those nonadministrative instructors, counselors, and librarians who are employed without a continuing contract, whose teaching load does not exceed one-half time for two full semesters or three full quarters per calendar year.

  • Specialist medical practitioner means a specialist as defined in section 3 of the Health Insurance Act 1973.

  • Lead Partner means the lead partner of a joint venture, as described in Sub-Clause

  • Community Member means any member of the public.

  • flight crew member means a licensed crew member charged with duties essential to the operation of an aircraft during a flight duty period;

  • Diversional Therapist means a person who provides, facilitates and co-ordinates group and individual leisure and recreational activities. This person must be a graduate from an approved university course which includes: An Associate Diploma and Diploma of Applied Science (Diversional Therapy); Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Leisure and Health); Bachelor of Applied Science (Diversional Therapy); Diploma or Bachelor of Health Sciences (Leisure and Health); an Associate Diploma course in Diversional Therapy; or who has such other qualifications deemed to be equivalent (such as a Four-year degree, Master’s Degree or PhD).

  • Clinical nurse specialist means a registered nurse with relevant post-basic qualifications and 12 months’ experience working in the clinical area of his/her specified post-basic qualification, or a minimum of four years’ post-basic registration experience, including three years’ experience in the relevant specialist field and who satisfies the local criteria.

  • Preferred Member means a Member holding Preferred Units.

  • Team means a team affiliated to a Club, including where a Club provides more than one team in the Competition in accordance with the Rules.
