Service Work means the repair, overhaul and/or alteration of complex fire protection systems involving the daily re-instatement of such systems to normal operating level.

BUYER INSTALLATION: Unless otherwise specifically provided, the Buyer (or its contractor) has full responsibility for the installation of the goods. Upon request, Renaissance may provide contact information for independent installers who have experience in installing Renaissance products; however, Renaissance shall not endorse, or be liable for, any work provided by independent installers. In projects for which Renaissance does not install its product, substrate anchors/fasteners, exterior sealants, xxxxxx xxx and perimeter silicone are provided by Buyer/others, unless specifically enumerated in Renaissance Quote. Renaissance does not provide fasteners or perimeter sealants. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Xxxxx shall defend, indemnify and hold Renaissance harmless from any and all claims or causes of action relating to the installation by others of the product of Renaissance. This duty to indemnify shall apply whether the product of Renaissance was installed through a contractor hired by Buyer or any other party (including any independent installer whose name was provided by Renaissance). Xxxxx’s duty to indemnify Renaissance shall apply to any and all claims or causes of action for bodily injury, property damage, product failure, breach of contract or otherwise made by any third party that alleges that the damages were caused, in whole or in part, by the manner of installing the product of Renaissance. Buyer must provide independent counsel, at Xxxxx’s expense, to defend Renaissance from all claims in any lawsuit or claim in which it is asserted that the manner of installation of Renaissance products by others caused the damages. Service Work means the repair, overhaul and/or alteration of operative fire protection systems involving the daily re-instatement of such systems to normal operating level. 5 Intentions of the parties The intentions of the parties in reaching this Agreement are to: • Provide for an efficient, progressive and prosperous Fire Protection Industry for the benefit of the Employer and its Employees. • Improve the standard of living, job satisfaction and continuity of employment for workers. • Create a co-operative and productive industrial relations environment. • Maintain a safe working environment. • Ensure the integrity of structured training consistent with national competency standards. • Develop and negotiate implementation of key performance indicators to improve the ongoing performance and productivity of the Chubb Fire Safety Business. • Create an agreement that: o complies with the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry o has no Prohibited Content, under the Workplace Relations Amendment (Work Choices) Act 2005 o has no connection to a common law deed o has no reference to any award or previous agreement.
