Service Break definition

Service Break means:
Service Break with respect to an Employee means any 12-consecutive-month period beginning on the Employee’s “severance date” and anniversaries of his “severance date” in which he does not complete an Hour of Service, as described in Section 2.2(a).

Examples of Service Break in a sentence

  • In the event a Participant is no longer a member of an eligible class of Employees and becomes ineligible to participate, but has not incurred a Service Break, such Employee will participate immediately upon returning to an eligible class of Employees.

  • If such Participant returns to the employ of the Employer or becomes eligible for benefits pursuant to Articles V, VI or VII, without interruption of employment with the Employer or other business entity, he shall be deemed not to have had a Service Break for such period.

  • If such Participant returns to the employ of the Employer or becomes eligible for benefits pursuant to Articles VIII or IX, without interruption of employment with the Employer or other business entity, he shall be deemed not to have had a Service Break for such period.

  • The Trustee shall pay any premiums which become due on contracts purchased on the life of a Participant who has left the employ of the Employer for reasons other than retirement, death or disability until it can be determined that such Participant has incurred a Service Break or it has been decided to distribute to the terminated Participant his benefit.

  • If such Participant incurs a Service Break, eligibility to participate will be determined under the rules of Section 1.20 of the Plan.

  • In the case of any Participant who has a one (1) year Service Break, Eligibility Year(s) of Service before such break will not be taken into account until the Employee has completed one (1) Eligibility Year of Service after returning to employment.

  • If such Participant incurs a Service Break, eligibility to participate will be determined under the rules of Section 1.24 of the Plan.

  • In the case of any Participant who has incurred a one (1) year Service Break, Eligibility Year(s) of Service before such break shall not be taken into account until the Participant has completed an Eligibility Year of Service after returning to employment.

  • The Corporation shall pay the Consultant’s regular fees during the Service Break.

  • During the Service Break, the Consultant shall not be required to provide any Services to the Corporation.

Service Break means a period which begins on the first day of any One-Year Break in Service and continues until the day, if ever, on which the Participant resumes active participation in the Plan in accordance with Article III of the Plan.
