Series A Preferred Securities means the 9.18% Preferred Securities, Series A, issued by Torchmark Capital L.L.C. on October 11, 1994.

Series A Preferred Securities means the securities representing limited partner interests of Met-Ed Capital, with a preference in respect of cash distributions and amounts payable on liquidation over the Voting Interests indirectly owned by the Company, the proceeds of the sale of which are used by Met-Ed Capital to purchase Series A Securities. Series A Preferred Securities also means any Preferred Securities issued by Met-Ed Capital in substitution for the Series A Preferred Securities originally issued by Met-Ed Capital.
