Salary/Wages definition

Salary/Wages means basic pay and personal pay plus dearness allowance and will include pension and pension equivalent of retirement benefits, in respect of a re-employed pensioner provided and to the extent the same has been taken into consideration for fixation of his basic pay.
Salary/Wages for the purposes of redeployment, VS P's and income maintenance shall mean annual salary, regular overtime and where salary sacrificing exists, the value of the substituted benefit. "Union" shall mean the Australian Workers Union (AWU South Australian Branch) and (Amalgamated AWU (SA) State Union). "Consultation" is the process which will have regard to employee's interests in the formulation of plans which have a direct impact upon them. It provides employees with the opportunity to have their viewpoint heard and taken into account and allows for decisions to be made giving due regard to matters raised by employees. "Union Workplace Representative" shall mean an AWU member or members elected by the membership from the membership appointed under the rules of the Union, whose role is to effectively represent the interests of members at the workplace and on the consultative Committee. "Workplace Representative" shall mean an employee elected by non-union employees whose role is to effectively represent the interests of non-union employees on the consultative committee. “Works Employee” shall mean an employee covered by the terms and conditions of the Local Government Employees Award (as varied).   • Salary/Wages paid by the City to the President will be based in accordance with the current CUPE Local 338 by-laws.

Related to Salary/Wages

  • Salary range is the range of rates between, and including, the minimum and maximum rate currently authorized for the class;

  • Salary as defined in Section 3.1(a).

  • Earned Compensation means any Annual Base Salary earned, but unpaid, for services rendered to the Company on or prior to the date on which the Employment Period ends pursuant to Section 3(a) (but excluding any salary and interest accrued thereon payment of which has been deferred).

  • Applicable Wages means the basic straight time wages for all hours worked, including:

  • Gross compensation means every form of remuneration payable for a given period to an individual for services provided including salaries, commissions, vacation pay, severance pay, bonuses, and any board, rent, housing, lodging, payments in kind, and any similar benefit received from the individual's employer.

  • Covered Compensation means any Incentive-Based Compensation granted, vested or paid to a person who served as an Executive Officer at any time during the performance period for the Incentive-Based Compensation and that was Received (i) on or after October 2, 2023 (the effective date of the Nasdaq listing standards), (ii) after the person became an Executive Officer, and (iii) at a time that the Company had a class of securities listed on a national securities exchange or a national securities association such as Nasdaq.

  • Basic Salary shall have the meaning assigned to it in Section 5 of this Agreement.

  • Wages is defined as the amount of money the employee would have otherwise received over a period of absence.

  • Bonus Compensation shall have the meaning set forth in Section 3(b).

  • Annual Earnings means your gross annual income from your Employer, not including shift differential, in effect just prior to the date of loss. It includes your total income before taxes. It is prior to any deductions made for pre-tax contributions to a qualified deferred compensation plan, Section 125 plan or flexible spending account. It does not include income received from commissions, bonuses, overtime pay or any other extra compensation or income received from sources other than your Employer.

  • Base Salary shall have the meaning set forth in Section 3(a) hereof.

  • Monthly salary means the portion of a member’s annual compensation which is paid to him or her per month.
