Salaries paid to employees or words of similar import means salaries and amounts actually paid (excluding payments or factors for holidays, vacations, sick time, bonuses, profit participations and other similar payments) to architects, engineers, designers, drafters or other professional and technical employees of the Consultant for time actually spent directly in the performance of technical services hereunder and recorded on daily time records which have been approved by the employee's immediate supervisor, excluding the time of any employee of the Consultant to the extent that the time of such employee of the Consultant is devoted to typing/word processing, stenographic, clerical or administrative functions.
