Retro policy year definition

Retro policy year means the policy year in which an employer is enrolled in group retrospective rating. Claim losses which occur during this year will be tracked for all retro group members and refunds or assessments will be distributed based on those losses in the subsequent evaluation period. The retro policy year start and end date will match that of the rating policy year. For public employer taxing districts, the retro policy year shall be January first through December thirty-first of a year. For private employers, the retro policy year shall be July first through June thirtieth of the following year.

  • Policy Year means the period of time these Terms and Benefits are in force. The first Policy Year shall be the period from the Policy Effective Date to the day immediately preceding the first Renewal Date as specified in the Policy Schedule (both days inclusive) within one (1) year period; and each subsequent Policy Year shall be the one (1) year period from each Renewal Date.

  • Policy Period means the period commencing from effective date and hour as shown in the Policy Schedule and terminating at midnight on the expiry date as shown in the Policy Schedule.

  • D&O Policy has the meaning set forth in Section 6.18(b).

  • extended reduction (qualifying contributory benefits means a reduction under this scheme for which a person is eligible in accordance with paragraph 88 or 95;

  • Policy Date means the date on which the Search Report was prepared.

  • R&W Policy means a representation and warranty insurance policy for the benefit of Buyer obtained in connection with this Agreement on the terms described on Schedule 1.01 of the Buyer Disclosure Schedule.

  • Benefit Period means the period of time from the date of the Accident causing the Injury for which benefits are payable, as shown in the Schedule of Benefits, and the date after which no further benefits will be paid.

  • Annuity Payments The series of payments made to the Owner or any named payee after the Annuity Date under the Annuity Option selected. ANNUITY PERIOD: The period of time beginning with the Annuity Date during which Annuity Payments are made.

  • group insurance means insurance, other than creditor’s group insurance and family insurance, whereby the lives of a number of persons are insured severally under a single contract between an insurer and an employer or other person; (“assurance collective”)

  • Insurance Schedule means Schedule 3 attached hereto.

  • Group Policy /”policy” means the breakdown policy as set out in this document;

  • Period of Coverage means the Plan Year, with the following exceptions: (a) for Employees who first become eligible to participate, it shall mean the portion of the Plan Year following the date on which participation commences, as described in Section 3.1; and (b) for Employees who terminate participation, it shall mean the portion of the Plan Year prior to the date on which participation terminates, as described in Section 3.2.

  • D&O Tail Policy has the meaning set forth in Section 5.8(c).

  • insurance period means a contribution period or an equivalent period;

  • Reinsured Policies has the meaning assigned to it in the Reinsurance Agreement.

  • SAP Policies means the operational guidelines and policies applied by SAP to provide and support the Cloud Service as incorporated in an Order Form.

  • Policy means Related Party Transaction Policy.

  • Insurance Contract means a contract (other than an Annuity Contract) under which the issuer agrees to pay an amount upon the occurrence of a specified contingency involving mortality, morbidity, accident, liability, or property risk.

  • Covered policy means a policy of commercial risk insurance, professional liability insurance or public entity insurance.

  • Lapsed Policy means a Policy which has not acquired the Surrender Value and where the due Premium has not been received till the expiry of the Grace Period;

  • Extended benefit period means a period which:

  • Policy Commencement Date means the date of commencement of the Policy as specified in the Schedule.

  • Reinsurance means the activity consisting in accepting risks ceded by an insurance undertaking or by another reinsurance undertaking or, in the case of the association of underwriters known as Lloyd's, the activity consisting in accepting risks, ceded by any member of Lloyd's, by an insurance or reinsurance undertaking other than the association of underwriters known as Lloyd's;

  • Cash Value Insurance Contract means an Insurance Contract (other than an indemnity reinsurance contract between two insurance companies) that has a Cash Value greater than $50,000.

  • Insurance score means a number or rating that is derived from an algorithm, computer application, model, or other process that is based in whole or in part on credit information for the purposes of predicting the future insurance loss exposure of a consumer.
