The Employer also agrees to provide copies of the standards developed by the Committee to all new Employees at the time of their orientation meeting and to provide information pertaining to relevant Provincial Guidelines, e.g., Computer Ergonomics: Workstation Layout and Lighting, Rest Breaks for Video Display Terminal (VDT) Operators, and Heat Stress on the Department of Occupational Health and Safety Website.
The following table will be used as a guideline and in conjunction with client practice, to determine the frequency and temperatures of rest breaks, to be taken when it is possible that the employees’ health could be affected: Duration of Paid Rest Breaks in each hour when the temperature (As determined in 4 above) reaches and/or exceeds.

The Employer will then adjust the daily Rest Breaks to 1 @ 10 minutes and 1 @ 15 minutes.
