Response Activities definition

Response Activities means the action to contain and remove Oil from water, beaches and shorelines, the storage and disposal of recovered Oil, and other actions, including mobilization and demobilization of personnel, equipment, supplies and other capability as necessary to minimize or mitigate damage to the environment;
Response Activities means the containment and removal of a Discharge from the waters and shorelines, the temporary storage of recovered substances, or the taking of other actions as necessary to minimize or mitigate damage to the environment from a Spill Event.
Response Activities means the response actions anticipated by this Settlement as set forth in Section VIII (Work to be Performed).

Response Activities means, consistent with Section 101(25) of CERCLA,
Response Activities means those activities that render care, assistance, or advice in accordance with the National Contingency Plan (40 CFR 300 et seq.), the State Oil Spill Contingency Plan, or at the direction of the Incident Commander or Unified Command during an immediate response to a spill or threatened spill of oil and/or oily materials. Response activities are approved in the incident action plan and include for the purposes of this MOU, but are not limited to, separation, recovery, containment, transfer, or transport of oil and/or oily materials to temporary storage sites.
