Remediation Action definition

Remediation Action means any action to mitigate, remediate, monitor or otherwise respond to the presence of Hazardous Substances in the Environment and on, in, at, upon or from the Leased Real Property or the Owned Real Property required by or under any Environmental Law.
Remediation Action is as defined in paragraph 8 of Part 1 of Schedule 6 (Environment);
Remediation Action has the meaning set forth in Section 5.3(d) hereof.

  • Such activities to be undertaken in connection with the Remediation Action include, but are not limited to, sampling existing monitoring xxxxx; installing and sampling new monitoring xxxxx; repairing existing pipes and electrical conduit; trenching, installing and repairing new pipes and electrical conduit; and maintaining, repairing and improving the hydraulic control system.

  • A Remediation Action Plan must be submitted to IOGC and the First Nation for review and approval prior to initiating remediation activities.

Remediation Action means (i) preventing, limiting, removing, remedying, cleaning-up, abating or containing the presence or effect of any Hazardous Matter in the Environment (including the Environment at any Property and/or at the Other Property) or (ii) carrying out investigative work and obtaining legal and other professional advice as is reasonably required in relation to (i).
Remediation Action shall have the meaning set forth in Section 3(a) of Schedule N.

  • Remediation means any response, remedial, removal, or corrective action, any activity to cleanup, detoxify, decontaminate, contain or otherwise remediate any Hazardous Materials, Regulated Substances or USTs, any actions to prevent, cure or mitigate any Release, any action to comply with any Environmental Laws or with any permits issued pursuant thereto, any inspection, investigation, study, monitoring, assessment, audit, sampling and testing, laboratory or other analysis, or any evaluation relating to any Hazardous Materials, Regulated Substances or USTs.

  • Remediation waste means all solid and hazardous wastes, and all media (including groundwater, surface water, soils, and sediments) and debris that are managed for implementing cleanup.

  • Remedial Action means all actions taken to (a) clean up, remove, remediate, contain, treat, monitor, assess, evaluate, or in any way address Hazardous Materials in the indoor or outdoor environment, (b) prevent or minimize a release or threatened release of Hazardous Materials so they do not migrate or endanger or threaten to endanger public health or welfare or the indoor or outdoor environment, (c) restore or reclaim natural resources or the environment, (d) perform any pre-remedial studies, investigations, or post-remedial operation and maintenance activities, or (e) conduct any other actions with respect to Hazardous Materials required by Environmental Laws.

  • Remediation Plan means a report identifying:

  • Environmental Action means any action, suit, demand, demand letter, claim, notice of non-compliance or violation, notice of liability or potential liability, investigation, proceeding, consent order or consent agreement relating in any way to any Environmental Law, Environmental Permit or Hazardous Materials or arising from alleged injury or threat of injury to health, safety or the environment, including, without limitation, (a) by any governmental or regulatory authority for enforcement, cleanup, removal, response, remedial or other actions or damages and (b) by any governmental or regulatory authority or any third party for damages, contribution, indemnification, cost recovery, compensation or injunctive relief.

  • Cleanup means actions necessary to contain, collect, control, identify, analyze, clean up, treat, disperse, remove or dispose of a hazardous substance.

  • Response Action means the investigation, cleanup, removal, remediation, containment, control, abatement, monitoring of or any other response action to the presence of Regulated Substances or Contamination in, on, at, under or emanating from the Stadium Site, including the correction or abatement of any violation required pursuant to Environmental Laws or by a Governmental Authority.

  • Collection Action means any of the following:

  • Corrective action means action taken to eliminate the cause of a potential or real non- conformity or other undesirable situation;

  • Remediation Costs means the cost of any action taken to reduce the concentration of contaminants on, in or under the Eligible Property to permit a record of site condition to be filed in the Environmental Site Registry under section 168.4 of the Environmental Protection Act and the cost of complying with any certificate of property use issued under section 168.6 of the Environmental Protection Act, as further specified in the CIP.

  • Remediate means investigation, assessment, characterization, delineation, monitoring, sampling, analysis, removal action, remedial action, response action, corrective action, mitigation, treatment or cleanup of Hazardous Materials or other similar actions as required by any applicable Environmental Laws from soil, land surface, groundwater, sediment, surface water, or subsurface strata or otherwise for the general protection of human health and the environment.

  • Decontamination means a process that attempts to remove or reduce to an acceptable level a contaminant exceeding an allowable threshold set forth in these Rules in a harvest batch or production batch.

  • Remedial Work has the meaning assigned such term in Section 8.10(a).

  • Remedial investigation means a process to determine the nature and extent of a discharge of a contaminant at a site or a discharge of a contaminant that has migrated or is migrating from the site and the problems presented by a discharge, and may include data collected, site characterization, sampling, monitoring, and the gathering of any other sufficient and relevant information necessary to determine the necessity for remedial action and to support the evaluation of remedial actions if necessary;
