Relieving Employee definition

Relieving Employee means an employee serving at a station while not being permanently attached to any one station.
Relieving Employee means an employee who has no guaranteed, permanent or regular hours or days of work. These employees are entitled to decline any work offered.
Relieving Employee means a person who is required to perform duties at a place other than the employees normal place of employment.

Examples of Relieving Employee in a sentence

  • Where a Relieving Employee (or other employee pursuant to 12.1.2) incurs a toll as a consequence of using a bridge, tunnel or motorway when travelling to perform a relief duty, such employee shall be reimbursed for the cost of the toll.

  • A Relieving Employee (or other employee pursuant to 12.1.2), who is directed to perform a relief duty on a rostered shift at a station/location which requires the employee to reside at a place other than the employee's residence, shall be entitled to the relevant provisions of Clause 26, Travelling Compensation, in lieu of the provisions of this clause.

  • Where a Relieving Employee (or other employee pursuant to 12.1.2) performs relief duties during a rostered shift at more than one station/location, payment shall be made for kilometres for the forward journey/journeys between the station at which duty commenced and the subsequent station/s and between the station at which duty ceased and the station at which duty commenced.

  • Where a Relieving Employee (or other employee pursuant to 12.1.2) is directed without prior notice after the commencement of a rostered shift, to perform relief duty at another station/location, the employee may request the provision of transport by the Department.

  • Unless otherwise provided in this Award, the "base rate" payment prescribed in subclause 12.6.1 shall not be paid to either a Relieving Employee (or other employee pursuant to 12.1.2) in cases where the employee is compensated for excess travelling time and/or payment for travel/accommodation expenses in accordance with the provisions of Clause 26, Travelling Compensation.

  • The provisions of this clause do not apply in cases where an employee acts up as an Executive Officer, or where an employee, not being a Relieving Employee, acts up at the employee's base station/location.

  • Where a Relieving Employee (or other employee pursuant to subclause 12.1.2) incurs a toll as a consequence of using a bridge, tunnel or motorway when travelling to perform a relief duty, such employee shall be reimbursed for the cost of the toll.

Related to Relieving Employee

  • Managing Employee means a general manager, business manager, administrator, director, or other individual who exercises operational or managerial control over, or who directly or indirectly conducts the day-to-day operation of an institution, organization, or agency.

  • Participating employee means an employee whose election to participate in a Plan has been approved by the employer.

  • Ongoing employee means an employee who has been employed for at least one complete standard measurement period.

  • Retained Employee does not include any individual who has a direct or an indirect ownership interest of at least five percent (5%) in the profits, equity, capital, or value of the Taxpayer, or a child, grandchild, parent, or spouse, other than a spouse who is legally separated from the individual, of any individual who has direct or indirect ownership interest of at least five percent (5%) of the profits, equity, capital or value of the Company.

  • Participating Employer means any trade or business (whether or not incorporated) which adopts this Plan with the consent of the Company identified in the Adoption Agreement.

  • Continuing Employee has the meaning set forth in Section 6.7(a).

  • Transferring Employee means an employee at the airport who timely transfers to the regional authority by the transfer date.

  • Gaming employee means any person

  • Former Employee means an individual who has severed employment with the Employer or an Affiliated Employer.

  • Designated Employee means an employee who has been designated by the school to receive complaints of hazing, harassment and bullying pursuant to subdivision 16 V.S.A. 570a(a)(7). The designated employees for each school building are identified in Appendix A of this policy.

  • Tipped employee means any employee engaged in an occupation in which s/he customarily and regularly receives more than $30 per month in tips. Tips include amounts designated as a tip by credit card customers on their charge slips. Nothing in this rule prevents an employer from requiring employees to share or allocate such tips or gratuities on a pre-established basis among other employees who customarily and regularly receive tips. Employer-required sharing of tips with employees who do not customarily and regularly receive tips, such as management or food preparers, or deduction of credit card processing fees from tipped employees, shall nullify allowable tip credits towards the minimum wage.

  • Other employee means an individual employed by a primary owner who is not authorized to provide proposition player services. “Other employee” does not include any owner, any supervisor, or any officer or director of a primary owner that is a corporation. An individual registered or licensed, as an “other employee” may not function as a player unless and until that individual applies for and obtains registration or licensure as a player.

  • Regular Part-Time Employee means an employee who is appointed to a regularly scheduled position but works less than full-time. A regular part-time employee is entitled to all benefits outlined in the agreement on a pro rata basis, except where otherwise specified.

  • Male employee means an employed male who is caring for a child borne of his spouse or a child placed with the employee for adoption purposes.

  • Plan Participant means a person who is eligible to receive, and is receiving, a pension benefit from the Plan.

  • Term Employee means an employee hired for a specific term of employment. The term of employment may be based on a specific period of time or the completion of a specific job or until the occurrence of a specified event.

  • Salaried Employee means an employee who is not covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act who regularly receives each pay period a predetermined amount constituting all or part of compensation. This base salary cannot be reduced because of variations in the quality or quantity of work performed.

  • U.S. Employee means a person who is an employee of the Company (or of any Subsidiary) for purposes of section 422 of the Code.

  • Public employee means an individual holding a position by appointment or employment in the government of this state, in the government of 1 or more of the political subdivisions of this state, in the public school service, in a public or special district, in the service of an authority, commission, or board, or in any other branch of the public service, subject to the following exceptions:

  • Prospective employee means an assessed individual who is anticipated to be hired upon completion of training.

  • SpinCo Employee means any individual who, as of the Effective Time, is employed by or will be employed by Spinco or any member of the Spinco Group, including active employees and employees on vacation and approved leave of absence (including maternity, paternity, family, sick leave, qualified military service under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994, short- or long-term disability leave, leave under the Family Medical Leave Act and other approved leave).
