Regular status definition

Regular status means the status an employee holds after completion of a probationary period.
Regular status is earned by an employee in a class, after successfully completing the specified probationary period for that class, which provides the employee with rights to remain in the class or to appeal adverse action taken against the employee while serving in the class.

More Definitions of Regular status

Regular status is earned by an employee in a class, after successfully completing the specified probationary period for that class, which is six (6) months. Regular status provides the employee with rights to remain in the class or to appeal adverse action taken against the employee while serving in the class. Once attained in any USPS class, regular status is retained in that class throughout continuous employment in the USPS. However, any employee promoted or transferred to a different or higher class shall be required to serve another probationary period, as provided in Article 18.1.C.4.
