Refund denial definition

Refund denial means a taxpayer’s claim for a refund of tax, penalty, interest, or refundable credit that has been denied by the Department.

  • Unallocated annuity contract means any annuity contract or group annuity certificate which is not issued to and owned by an individual, except to the extent of any annuity benefits guaranteed to an individual by an insurer under such contract or certificate.

  • Refund beneficiary means an individual nominated by a qualified participant or a former qualified participant under section 66 to receive a distribution of the participant's accumulated balance in the manner prescribed in section 67.

  • Maturity Benefit means the amount of benefit which is payable on maturity i.e. at the end of the Policy term, as stated at the inception of the Policy contract and specified in the Policy Schedule

  • Group Annuity Contract means a master contract providing annuities to a group of persons under a single con- tract.

  • Special Hazard Loss Any Realized Loss suffered by a Mortgaged Property on account of direct physical loss, but not including (i) any loss of a type covered by a hazard insurance policy or a flood insurance policy required to be maintained with respect to such Mortgaged Property pursuant to Section 3.10 to the extent of the amount of such loss covered thereby, or (ii) any loss caused by or resulting from:

  • state pension credit means state pension credit under the State Pension Credit Act 2002;

  • retirement annuity contract means a contract or scheme approved under Chapter III of Part XIV of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988;

  • Single Life Annuity means a Participant’s Grandfathered Benefit and/or 409A Benefit, as applicable, payable as an annuity in equal monthly installments over the life of the Participant, commencing as of the Payment Date and terminating in the month in which the Participant dies, with no further payments thereafter.

  • Annuity Contract means a contract under which the issuer agrees to make payments for a period of time determined in whole or in part by reference to the life expectancy of one or more individuals. The term also includes a contract that is considered to be an Annuity Contract in accordance with the law, regulation, or practice of the jurisdiction in which the contract was issued, and under which the issuer agrees to make payments for a term of years.

  • Adverse Benefit Determination means any of the following:

  • Actuarial valuation means a mathematical determination of

  • Fraud Loss Any Realized Loss or portion thereof sustained by reason of a default arising from fraud, dishonesty or misrepresentation in connection with the related Mortgage Loan, including by reason of the denial of coverage under any related Primary Insurance Policy.

  • Disability Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 8.

  • Retrospective review means a review of medical necessity conducted after services have been provided to a patient, but does not include the review of a claim that is limited to an evaluation of reimbursement levels, veracity of documentation, accuracy of coding, or adjudication for payment.

  • Death Benefit means the insurance amount payable under the Certificate at death of the Insured, subject to all Certificate provisions dealing with changes in the amount of insurance and reductions or termination for age or retirement. It does not include any amount that is only payable in the event of Accidental Death.

  • life annuity means an annuity payable under a policy issued to an SRS member for a term ending with, or at a time ascertainable only by reference to, the end of his life;

  • Stop Loss means an offer to close a Transaction in an FX and CFD position at a price determined in advance by you which, in the case of a Buy is lower than the opening Transaction price and in the case of a Sell is higher than the opening Transaction price. “Swap or Rollover” for FX and CFD trading shall mean the interest added or deducted for holding a position open overnight.

  • Emission Reduction Credits means emission reductions that have been authorized by a local air pollution control district pursuant to California Health and Safety Code, Division 26 Air Resources, Sections 40709 and 40709.5, whereby such district has established a system by which all reductions in the emission of air contaminants that are to be used to offset certain future increases in the emission of air contaminants shall be banked prior to use to offset future increases in emissions.

  • Applicable Maturity means: (a) in relation to Screen Rate Determination, the period of time designated in the Reference Rate, and (b) in relation to ISDA Determination, the Designated Maturity.
