Reference Entity Notional Amount definition

Reference Entity Notional Amount means, in respect of any Reference Entity, the notional amount for the time being of credit protection which is purchased under the terms of the Reference CDS in relation to a Reference Entity, being, as of the Issue Date (and unless otherwise specified in the Pricing Supplement):
Reference Entity Notional Amount means, in respect of a Reference Entity, the amount specified in the applicable Final Terms or otherwise determined in accordance with the Conditions.
Reference Entity Notional Amount means in respect of each Reference Entity the amount specified in § 3 of the Product Data.

  • In no case may the Exercise Amount exceed the Reference Entity Notional Amount.

More Definitions of Reference Entity Notional Amount

Reference Entity Notional Amount means, with respect to any Reference Entity of a Linear Basket Note or a Tranche Note, the amount equal to the product of the Reference Entity Weighting and the Reference Portfolio Notional Amount.
Reference Entity Notional Amount means, in respect of any Reference Entity, the notional amount specified in the Reference Portfolio as the “Reference Entity Notional Amount” with respect to such Reference Entity provided that (i) in respect of a Reference Entity for which an Exercise Amount as specified in the Credit Event Notice is less than the Reference Entity Notional Amount in respect of such Reference Entity, the amount specified in the Reference Portfolio shall be reduced following such Credit Event Notice by the amount of such Exercise Amount; and (ii) if a Succession Event occurs with respect to any Reference Entity, the Reference Entity Notional Amount shall be such Reference Entity Notional Amount as shall be determined by the Calculation Agent in accordance with Section 2.2(e) of the Credit Derivatives Definitions (as amended hereby). Where pursuant to the definition of “Successor”, more than one Successor has been identified (each a “Multiple Successor”) in relation to a Reference Entity (the “Original Reference Entity”), each Multiple Successor shall be a Reference Entity, but the Reference Entity Notional Amount of each such Successor shall be equal to the Reference Entity Notional Amount of the Original Reference Entity divided by the number of Multiple Successors (the “Multiple Successor Percentage Amount”) provided that if any Successor (which is not the Original Reference Entity) is already a Reference Entity, the Multiple Successor Percentage Amount shall be added to the Reference Entity Notional Amount of that Reference Entity.
Reference Entity Notional Amount means the amount in which the Issuer has purchased (in the case of Credit Notes or Credit Certificates) or sold (in the case of Credit Warrants) credit protection in respect of one or more Reference Entities, as set out in the Final Terms (or, if no such amount is specified, (in the case of Credit Notes) the Aggregate Nominal Amount or, in the case of Partly Paid Notes, the paid-up Aggregate Nominal Amount or (in the case of Credit Certificates or Credit Warrants) the aggregate Notional Amount of the Credit Securities or, in the case of Partly Paid Certificates, the paid-up aggregate Notional Amount of the Partly Paid Certificates, in each case, divided by the number of Reference Entities (and, in the case of Instalment Notes or Instalment Certificates, subject to reduction on redemption)), subject to Credit Security Conditions 6 and 8.
Reference Entity Notional Amount means (a) with respect to a Reference Entity comprised in the Initial Portfolio, the amount specified as such in Schedule 2
Reference Entity Notional Amount means (a) with respect to a Reference Entity comprised in the Initial Portfolio, the amount specified as such in Schedule 2– Part I hereto and (b) with respect to any Replacement Reference Entity, the amount determined as such in accordance with the provisions hereof at the time of the relevant Trade, in each case as subsequently adjusted in accordance with the terms hereof and the relevant Portfolio Credit Default Swap.
