Reference building definition

Reference building means a hypothetical or real reference building that represents the typical building geometry and systems, typical energy performance for both building envelope and systems, typical functionality and typical cost structure in the Member State and is representative of climatic conditions and geographic location;
Reference building means a hypothetical building that is used to determine the maximum allowable heating load for the proposed building.
Reference building means a building design of the same size and shape as the designed building or unit, modelled in accordance with the requirements given in Section 9 of this BEC and with corresponding building services installations fully satisfying the energy efficiency requirements given in Sections 5 to 8 of this BEC.
