Redundant Employee definition

Redundant Employee means an employee whose employment is terminated as a result of his/her position being surplus to existing requirements by reason of the closing down or reorganisation of the whole or part of the company's operations or by amalgamation of the company's operation with the operation of another company or resulting from a decrease in business activity. An employee’s position shall not be deemed to be redundant and the employee shall not be retrenched if:
