Redact definition

Redact means to obscure individual items of information within an otherwise publicly accessible document.
Redact for personal information means alteration or truncation of data such that no more than the following are accessible as part of the personal information:
Redact means to alter or truncate data so that no more than 4 sequential digits of a driver license number, state personal identification card number, or account number, or no more than 5 sequential digits of a social security number, are accessible as part of personal information.

Redact means to conceal from a copy of an original public record, or to conceal from an electronic image that is available for public viewing, that portion of the record containing exempt or confidential information.
