RECOGNITION AND MEMBERSHIP. Section 1. The Hospital recognizes the Association as the collective bargaining representative with respect to wage rates, hours of work, and other conditions of employment for a bargaining unit composed of all categories of registered nurses including Patient Care Coordinators and Charge Nurses employed by the Hospital. The Hospital shall not challenge the status of bargaining unit nurses or assert that bargaining unit nurses are supervisors.

The Medical Center recognizes Association as the collective bargaining representative with respect to rates of pay, hours of pay, hours of work and other conditions of employment for a bargaining unit composed of all registered professional nurses employed by the Medical Center as staff nurses, and charge nurses, excluding Sisters of Providence, administrative and supervisory personnel, temporary nurses, and registered professional nurses employed in the following departments and areas: Admissions, Physical Therapy, EEG, Anesthetists, EKG, Radiology, Laboratory, Pharmacy (other than the IV Nurses), Occupational Therapy, Nursing Education, Dietary, Medical Records, Personnel and Housekeeping and Industrial Nurses.

Employer recognizes Association as the collective 18 bargaining representative with respect to rates of pay, hours of work, and other conditions 19 of employment. The recognition granted by this Agreement is limited to the Hospital facility, excluding all other present or future operations with which the Hospital may have a corporate relationship.
RECOGNITION AND MEMBERSHIP. Section 1.1. The Institute recognizes the Association as the collective bargaining representative of Case Managers and Registered Nurses employed as registered nurses in the Institute, and Social Workers employed in the Institute with respect to wages, hours, and working conditions. The bargaining unit includes any employees in the following positions: Per Diem Nurse, Per Diem Case Manager, Per Diem Social Worker, Per Diem Infection Control Nurse, Per Diem Diabetic Educator, Nurse 1, 2, and 3, Infection Control Nurse, External Case Manager, Internal Case Manager, Social Worker, Clinical Consultant, Charge Nurse, Wound Care Nurse and Diabetic Educator (hereinafter collectively referred to as “employees”). Nurse Managers, Assistant Nurse Managers, temporary nurses, agency nurses, all other employees, guards and supervisors are excluded from the bargaining unit. In bargaining for the 2012-2015 collective bargaining agreement, the parties agreed to remove the title of “Patient Care Coordinator” from the Recognition Clause at Article 1, Section 1, and to insert “Internal Case Manager,” and to change the term “Case Manager” to “External Case Manager.” The reasons for these changes are: (1) the employees with the previous title of “Patient Care Coordinator” now have the title “Internal Case Manager”; and (2) the employees with the previous title of “Case Manager” now have the title “External Case Manager.” In agreeing to this change, it is not the parties’ intent to change the make-up of the bargaining unit; it is merely to accurately reflect current job titles. The parties agree that in the event that the Internal Case Managers are ever re-classified back to Patient Care Coordinators, and/or if the External Case Managers are ever re-classified back to Case Managers, they will remain in the bargaining unit.
RECOGNITION AND MEMBERSHIP. 23 2.01 The Hospital recognizes the Association as the collective bargaining 24 representative with respect to rate of pay, hours of work, and other conditions of 25 employment for a bargaining unit composed of all registered nurses employed by the 26 Hospital only at 13th and May Streets, Hood River, Oregon, and no other location as 27 general duty nurses, but excluding administrative and supervisory personnel and nurses 28 employed exclusively in the following departments and areas: Admissions, Physical 29 Therapy, EEG, Anesthesia, Radiology, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Occupational Therapy, 30 Quality Assurance, Utilization Review, Nursing Education, Dietary, Medical Records, 1 Personnel, Doctor's Offices, and Housekeeping. Should the Hospital move nurses 2 currently within the bargaining unit to a location contiguous with the Hospital property 3 but not specifically located at 13th and May Streets, those positions will remain within 4 the bargaining unit.

Registered nurses working in the positions of Educator, Infection Control, Risk Manager; Case Manager/UR Clinical Documentation Specialist; Clinical Resource Coordinator; Registered Nurses working as temporary casuals or traveler nurses; guards, supervisors, administrative personnel; and all other employees are excluded from the bargaining unit.
