Range Livestock definition

Range Livestock means livestock that are kept in pastures, on rangeland, or on other grazing lands and allowed to feed on vegetation growing therein. Range Livestock shall not mean 1) livestock kept in buildings, lots or pens, which normally are not used for the growing of crops or vegetation, or 2) any livestock kept in any Livestock Operation that is required by the Livestock Waste Management Act or state livestock waste regulations to obtain a permit from the Department of Environmental Quality. Livestock, which are confined for fewer than ninety (90) calendar days per year, may be considered Range Livestock if they meet the other conditions in this definition.
