Rail Operator has the meaning given in the Access Undertaking.

Rail Operator means a person employed by RAIL on a continuing basis who receives an eight-hour minimum guarantee of straight-time pay per day, not to exceed five days per week, or a ten- hour minimum guarantee of straight-time pay per day not to exceed four days per week, provided s/he has accepted all work assigned as specified in the remainder of this Article. For each regularly-scheduled workday or portion thereof on which a Rail Operator does not perform his/her assignment, s/he shall lose his/her guarantee for that day and s/he shall be paid only for actual time worked, unless otherwise provided in this AGREEMENT. A “regularly-scheduled workday” shall mean a day on which an Employee is normally required to work.

"Sydney ferry services" means ferry services provided in Sydney Harbour or the Parramatta River. "Sydney Metro" means Sydney Metro constituted under this Act. "Sydney Metro Board" means the board of directors of Sydney Metro. "Sydney Trains" means Sydney Trains constituted under this Act. "transport assets" means assets used for or in connection with or to facilitate the movement of persons and freight by road, rail, sea, air or other mode of transport, and includes transport infrastructure. "transport district" means a transport district for the time being established under section 108. "Transport for NSW" (or "TfNSW" ) means Transport for NSW constituted under this Act.
