Rail Infrastructure definition

Rail Infrastructure means Rail Transport Infrastructure, except that the term does not include the track and associated infrastructure on those parts of the network not identified as the responsibility of Queensland Rail in the Undertaking, but for the purpose of clarity, does include all stations and platforms;
Rail Infrastructure or “infrastructure” means the facilities necessary to enable a railway to operate safely and includes railway track, associated track structures, over or under track structures, supports (including supports for equipment or items associated with the use of a railway), tunnels, bridges, stations, platforms, train control systems, signalling systems, communication systems, electric traction infrastructure, buildings, workshops and associated plant, machinery and equipment;
Rail Infrastructure means the facilities that are necessary to operate a railway safely and includes, but is not limited to, railway track, associated track structures and works (such as cuttings, tunnels, bridges, stations, platforms, tram stops, excavations, land fill, track support earthworks and drainage works), over-track structures, under-track structures, service roads, signalling systems, rolling stock control systems, communications systems, notices and signs, overhead electrical power supply systems, and associated buildings, workshops, depots, yards, plant, machinery and equipment, but does not include rolling stock;

  • If the ALT determines that any Materials or Construction Plant with a salvageable or inherent value is to be removed, relocated or salvaged from the Site or Rail Infrastructure then, subject to all appropriate approvals being obtained, the ALT shall direct the AMT to relocate or salvage the material, plant or equipment.
