Radioactive contamination definition

Radioactive contamination means the deposition of radioactive material in any place where it is not desired, particularly where its presence may be harmful and the harm may be vitiating an experiment or procedure, or where it actually may be a source of danger to the public;
Radioactive contamination means pollution of the air, water, soil, materials, products, surfaces in living or working environments, or of an individual with radio-nuclides and is expressed as an activity concentration per unit of volume, mass or area.
