Quiet Area definition

Quiet Area means any land or facility designated by the Commission as an appropriate area where the qualities of serenity, tranquility, and quiet are of extraordinary significance and serve an important public need, such as, without being limited to, a wilderness area, national park, state park, game reserve, wildlife breeding area, or amphitheater. The Department shall submit areas suggested by the public as quiet areas, to the Commission, with the Department's recommendation.

  • Outside Areas means all areas within the Property which are located outside the buildings, such as pedestrian walkways, parking areas, landscaped areas, open areas and enclosed trash disposal areas.

  • Market Area means: (1) New York County, New York, and (3) any geographic area in which the Company is conducting any material amount publishing or development of technology during the Term, and for which he has material responsibilities or about which he has material Confidential Information; and

  • Slum area means any area where dwellings predominate which, by reason of depreciation, overcrowding, faulty arrangement or design, lack of ventilation, light or sanitary facilities, or any combination of these factors, are detrimental to the public safety, health or morals.

  • Downtown area means the business area of a community that is centrally located within the community within the context of the Iowa main street program.

  • Schengen area means the area without internal borders comprising the territories of the Member States as defined in point (a) applying the Schengen acquis in full.

  • Premises means the location where the Services are to be supplied, as set out in the Specification.

  • Geographical Area means North America, Europe or Asia Pacific, as the case may be.
