Project Understanding. The purpose of this contract is improve the overall safety and operations of the designated locations while also creating an up to date database of signal equipment that can be used by the local authorities. The Scope of Work provided in the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be followed with regards to coordination and technical meetings, schedule, project review periods, reporting, budget and invoicing. The Urban Team’s schedule was focused around providing reasonable durations for all tasks and SJTPO review periods while adhering to the deliverable dates shown. This project has been broken into two distinct projects. Part A - Preliminary Design of the intersection of Xxxxxx Avenue (CR 540) and Xxxxxxxx Road (CR 672) Xxxxx will prepare the Preliminary Design to mitigate the geometric and traffic signal concerns that have led to 19 reportable crashes at or in the vicinity of the intersection in the last 3 years. The team will analyze the crashes and develop multiple alternatives that can improve the overall intersection safety and operations. Due to the issues at the intersection including the proximity of utilities, the limited right-of- way, and the presence of the culvert the alternatives will range in complexity and impact. Once all the alternatives have been developed a comparison can be made to arrive at an Initially Preferred Alternative (IPA). This IPA will be advanced for permitting and CED purposes.

  • Letter of Understanding means the written agreement signed by the School District and the Architectural Designer that describes, attaches, incorporates, or explains the Scope or Scope of Work, the Task Order, the Project Schedule or Work Schedule, the basis of the applicable Fee method, and other requirements for individual Projects assigned by the School District.

  • Letter of Intent means the intimation by a letter / email / fax to the bidder that the tender has been accepted in accordance with provision contained in that letter.
