Professional Support Staff definition

Professional Support Staff means a person, other than a teacher or administrator, who is required to hold an Educator license to be employed in a public school.
Professional Support Staff means employees of the University who are not officers of the University, deans, chief librarian or faculty members (from the University Act).
Professional Support Staff means an academic staff member who occupies a non-faculty position and is employed by the University to engage in a broad-range of academic support activities.

Examples of Professional Support Staff in a sentence

  • The employees covered by this agreement shall be eligible to participate in the Professional Support Staff Retirement Plan for the term of this agreement, in accordance with its terms.

  • If a staff member is asked on occasion to present a program and volunteers, they will be permitted to do so without it affecting the status or compensation of a Professional Support Staff member’s position.

  • It is the intent of the University to allow each Professional Support Staff member to use up to eight (8) hours per year for such events.

  • PROOF To receive the proper compensation Professional Support Staff members will be required to submit information online (xxx.xxxx.xxx/xxx) for their supervisor's approval, identifying the program(s) or seminar(s), and date(s) taken, to the Human Resources Office by September 30th each year.

  • In no case will Professional Support Staff members receive their regular compensation and “special” compensation for teaching or presenting programs during their regular working hours.

  • The staff members covered by this Agreement shall be eligible to participate in the Professional Support Staff Retirement Plan, as amended, for the term of this Agreement.

Related to Professional Support Staff

  • Support staff means those staff holding an aircraft maintenance licence under Annex III (Part-66) in category B1, B2 and/or B3 with the appropriate aircraft ratings, working in a base maintenance environment while not necessarily holding certification privileges.
