The Chair shall, prior to the commencement of the Department Committee deliberations, meet with each Probationary Faculty Member to review his/her Assessment File.
When reason arises to question the fitness of a Tenured or Probationary Faculty Member, it shall be the policy to attempt to resolve the matter without instituting the formal dismissal procedures.
In addition, the Dean shall meet prior to the end of April with each Probationary Faculty Member to discuss the Member’s progress towards and the possibility of application for tenure and promotion.

Following such approval, the part-time Regular or Probationary Faculty Member is entitled to participate on the same basis as a full-time Regular or Probationary Faculty Member.
The statute states that the job posting system will not: prohibit an employer from advertising job openings or recruiting independently of the system; prohibit an employer from using another method of advertising job openings or using other applicant tracking systems; or provide the Department any regulatory authority in the hiring process or hiring decisions of any employer other than the Department.
This contract shall be without force and effect unless it is in the hands of the Board, bearing the signature of said Probationary Faculty Member and the Secretary of the Board on or before the 31st day of August 2021.
