Preemptible Transponder definition

Preemptible Transponder means a transponder on a satellite that is not entitled to restoration in the event of a transponder failure or a satellite failure and may be preempted at any time to restore (i) a satellite failure, (ii) a service or transponder that becomes a transponder failure and is entitled to preempt a Preemptible Service or Preemptible Transponder, or (iii) other service offerings of SES or any member of the SES Group, including but not limited to mass move protection, construction and launch delay protection, and launch failure protection.
Preemptible Transponder means a Transponder that may be preempted at any time to restore (1) a Fully-Protected Transponder or a Transponder-Protected Transponder which becomes a Transponder Failure or (2) other service offerings of GE Americom, including construction delay protection and launch protection.

Examples of Preemptible Transponder in a sentence

  • Restoration shall be effected if technical and operational circumstances permit, in the following manner and order, on a first-needed, first-served basis: first, by utilizing similar service on any available Replacement Transponder of the same Transponder Class on the provisioned Satellite; and second, if no such Replacement Transponder is available, by using an unassigned or Preemptible Transponder of the same Transponder Class on the provisioned Satellite, if available.

  • If no Replacement Transponder is available, GE Americom shall restore the Transponder Failure by using an unassigned or Preemptible Transponder on that Satellite, if available.

  • Restoration shall be effected in the following manner and order, on a first-needed, first-serviced basis: first, by utilizing any available Replacement Transponder of the same Transponder Class on the Satellite; and second, if no such Replacement Transponder is available, by using an unassigned or Preemptible Transponder of the same Transponder Class and same polarization on the Satellite, if available.

  • Customer's service on a Preemptible Transponder may be preempted at any time for the reasons stated in this Article 8.

  • If GE Americom advises Customer that GE Americom can accommodate such requirements, Customer and GE Americom shall execute an agreement for service on the Other Satellite upon terms and conditions substantially the same, other than price, as are specified in the C-4 Satellite Preemptible Transponder Service and Restoration Services Agreement, dated as of March 27, 1996, between Customer and GE Americom.

  • Non-Preemptible Service or Non-Preemptible Transponder: A satellite service or transponder that may not be preempted at any time to restore a Protected Service or Protected Transponder, but that is not entitled to be restored by preempting a Preemptible Service or Preemptible Transponder.

  • Transponder means an access device used to gain entry to the parking facility;

  • Available Transfer Capability or “ATC” shall mean a measure of the transfer capability remaining in the physical transmission network for further commercial activity over and above already committed uses.

  • Capacity Rights means the rights, whether in existence as of the Effective Date or arising hereafter during the Agreement Term, to capacity, resource adequacy, associated attributes and/or reserves or any of the foregoing associated with the electric generating capability of the Facility, including the right to resell such rights.

  • Generator Forced Outage means an immediate reduction in output or capacity or removal from service, in whole or in part, of a generating unit by reason of an Emergency or threatened Emergency, unanticipated failure, or other cause beyond the control of the owner or operator of the facility, as specified in the relevant portions of the PJM Manuals. A reduction in output or removal from service of a generating unit in response to changes in market conditions shall not constitute a Generator Forced Outage.

  • Signaling Transfer Point (“STP”) means a signaling point that performs message routing functions and provides information for the routing of messages between signaling points within or between CCIS networks. An STP transmits, receives and processes CCIS messages.

  • Dark Fiber shall have the meaning set forth in Section 9.7.1.

  • Interruptible Service means service from approved contracts under which Company is not expressly obligated to deliver specific volumes within a given time period, and which anticipates and permits interruption on short notice, or service under approved contracts which expressly or impliedly require installation of alternate fuel capability.
